The title of a book, written by a couple who are no strangers to sea adventures.

Now in spite of job, family, houseloan etc,

decided to make a trip in an halv open seventeen foot boat ,

through the canals of Europe, to Marseille.

The title caught my eye, haha, pretty good.

Legitimate question...has the first idiot been born?

Really, depending on their definition of human intelligence (or lack thereof)...especially in light of being "fools for Christ", taking on seemingly foolish ideas of an invisible god, taking on seemingly foolish ideas of a self-generated universe without a god....are there authors of a book who postulate that no one is truly an idiot?

I like the title, I wonder if they were referring to themselves in a humorous way. A long boat trip in a 17 foot open boat, might be considered a bit foolish. It's good for us to remember that we are all idiots in some way.

I liked the title too,
it was most certain to have been aimed at themselves, during and after the trip.

Yep, that is what my worst half says when my best half wants to do something sensible.

In a diplomatic Job sort of way, no.
when he did not call his wife a fool.

But there are certainly many crazy ideas and actions.
