Anyone know of a good recording of the Lamentations sung on Holy Friday evening in English? I have been looking for a CD of these hymns for a long time now, and I have only been able to find them in Greek. I think they are one of the most moving moments during Holy Week. After we are done singing them, I wish we could just start over and do them again and again and again... I guess I would like to get to hear them in English more than just once a year.

If you hear of one (or any of the special hymns from Holy Week and Pascha) that would be great. I have only been through one Holy Week and I was still a catechumen for all but a few hours of it.

There is a CD by Fr Apostolos Hill called "The Gates of Repentence" that has "Today is Suspended upon the Tree He Who Suspended the Land upon the Waters". That's the hymn that the Priest sings while carrying the Cross through the Church on Great and Holy Friday. The CD is wonderful and well-worth having, but I think that's the only song from Lamentations.

If you so find a recording of all the Lamentations, please post where you found it!!!!!
