Hi Mary! Hubby is still laying on the couch feeling sorry for himself.. lol I don't doubt he's uncomfortable, just wish he'd go back to work! My stress level is through the roof. He is anxious to go get the stint removed, and if I hear more complaining, I might remove it myself!!! :D j/k **trying to be like Jesus** (Although, I think by this time , Christ would have healed him just to keep him quiet..... hehe) Can you tell I'm going slightly nuts?? ok ok... I know... been nuts for a while. How are YOU???

Oh honey, I can so sympathize! Men are such big babies! If they get a cold its...feel my head, am I running a fever? Oh, I'm so sick can you get me some tylenol. I'm having chills.....yada, yada, yada....but when we get sick its....when is dinner gonna be ready, I'm hungry! My hemorrhoid has avascular necrosis of his hip joint...means that the blood supply to the joint got cut off and the joint is dead; and I get to hear every time I talk to him how much it hurts and just what it feels like. It gets to the point where you just want them to shut up! You know already and don't need to be reminded! Hang in there sis, at least the stone will pass!

 Good morning all... well sorta it is for me!! I need you Ladies (and Gentlemen too) to pray for my roommate, Lynda. The little Angel had a bad panic attack last night and ended up in the hospital because we couldn't calm her down (she wasn't in our room when it happened, but in the same building at least). Thank God our third roommate is a doctor from India so she was able to suggest some things and Sean's up so he was able to drive us to the hospital and drive us back with Lynda. She's okay now, resting... and we've caught up on our sleep too. Very strange night heh.

HEY SHAY!!!!! It would be awesome to have you help out with the book study. I know I haven't been around much to do it :sigh::( School's busy and CF is B*U*S*Y and I know I need to find a job otherwise my parents are going to be upset.

Ooh Gabs you changed your name!! I like it though... very original (mine not so much.... although my other account is also Angeldove so I'm the original angeldove here :p).

I hope everybody has a blessed day and a wonderful Sunday if I don't check in later today.:hug::hug:

I got this from a friend yesterday, and thought I'd share. It's a good reminder that God is with us, through it all.

The Fern and the Bamboo

One day, I decided to quit. I wanted to quit my job to quit my
relationships, to quit my spirituality; I even wanted to quit my
life. I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.

"God", I said, "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"
His answer surprised me. "Look around", He said, "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?"
"Yes", I replied.
"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water. The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo."

"In the second year the fern grew more vibrant and plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo."

"In the third year there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit."

"In the fourth year, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed.
Still, I would not quit."

"Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth.
compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant.
But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.
It had spent the five years growing roots.
Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed
to survive. I would not give any of my creations a challenge
they could not handle," He said to me.
"Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots? I would not quit on the bamboo. and I will never quit on you! Don't compare yourself to others. The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern. Yet they both make the forest
beautiful. Your time will come," God said to me. "You will rise high."
"How high should I rise?" I asked.
"How high will the bamboo rise?", He asked in return.
"As high as it can?", I questioned.
"Yes", He said, "Give Me glory by rising as high as you can. And remember...I will never leave you, nor forsake you. I will never give up on you. I will never, ever quit on you."

Everyone has days when they want to "quit". When there are
struggles...obstacles in life, remember we're just growing roots!! God has a purpose in mind for each one of us and we need to talk to Him and let Him help us realize that purpose. Always remember, He'll never leave us, He'll never forsake us, and He'll never quit on us.

My Uncle George just left the hospital from having kidney stones. I think he was able to finally pass them but one of his kidneys has died. He'll have to have an operation soon to have it removed. :( Please pray for him!

May He Look Upon Us

And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. ~Luke 22:61 KJV

When'er my careless hands hang down, O let me see thy gathering frown, And feel thy warning eye;

And starting cry from ruin's brink, Save Jesus, or I yield, I sink, O save me, or I die!

If near the pit I rashly stray, Before I wholly fall away, The keen conviction dart! Recall me by that pitying look, That king, upbraiding glance, which broke unfaithful Peter's heart.

In me thine utmost mercy show, And make me like thyself below, Unblamable in grace; Ready prepared, and fitted here, By perfect holiness, to appear before thy glorious face.

Marti, that is beautiful!

Mary, his stone passed already, as SAND! He just has this stint in until the doc takes it out. I'm so glad someone can empathize!

That's how the stones are usually passed, kind of like tiny little grains of sand.
Honey, if you knew my husband or just had to listen to him for 24 hours....he will call me at every opportunity and give me the entire run down of his pain and what it feels like. He could save himself a lot of trouble by just taping himself saying it and then playing it each time he talks to me. It drives me nuts! Every time I get a headache (which is every day) I should start telling him where it hurts and what kind of pain in feels like and how it throbs and makes me feel like my head will explode but he'd probably just interupt me to tell me all about HIS pain! What a hemorrhoid!:D

My Uncle George just left the hospital from having kidney stones. I think he was able to finally pass them but one of his kidneys has died. He'll have to have an operation soon to have it removed. :( Please pray for him!

Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry to hear about your Uncle George. But God can recreate that kidney and bring life back into it. Praying for him.:prayer:

Tammy needs our prayers!!! She's feeling unwell again and I think a quick prayer for her might just do the trick: http://www.christianforums.com/t4677692-fhg-tammy-needs-prayers.html

Lynda's doing alot better today.. Kamala (my roommate from India) and I are keeping an eye on her and giving her lots of hugs and love. Her voice is still a lil shakey from crying so much but she's doing alot better... acting like her normal little crazy self lol. :) So we know she's alright.

One more teaching for tonight... It comes from a devotional that studies the Passion Week for 365. A small verse and a small devotional. This is one of my favorite lessons from it... I read it often. Some read the particular verse and are taken back that Jesus showed His anger in such a way! No, I don't believe Jesus showed anger... I think He was showing love, just like He shows us each and every day (though with our simple minds and hearts, its sometimes difficult to understand).

Love For God's House
Then, going over to the people who sold doves, he told them. "Get these things out of here. Don't turn my Father's house into a marketplace!" Then His disciples remembered this prophecy from the Scriptures: "Passion for God's house burns within me." ~John 2:16-17 NLT

Jesus watched and listened for a few moments. Then He filled His lungs, and in a voice which carried above the bleating and lowing, shouts of sellers, and arguments of the cheated, He called out texts from the prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah: "It is written: 'My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.' But you are making it a 'den of robbers'!"

With set face, He walked up to the nearest row of money changers' tables and pushed them over, one after another. Coins clattered on the paving stones and rolled away. He upset the seats of the sellers of doves and drove flocks and herds toward the gate, calling out repeatedly the texts by which buying and selling in the Temple stood condemned...

As the Twelve helped Jesus, John was impressed beyond all else by the expression on His face: not the moral force only but of love. John could feel the love which drove Jesus: love for God and His Temple, love for the cheated, love for the merchants and herdsman who had been trapped into sacrilege by greed and custom, even love for the Temple authorities who had betrayed their trust.

~ John Pollock
