I think you did not read the conversation carefully. So God’s words do not exist if they are in a vision?
I sure hope that is not what you are saying.
For we have a book called “Revelation” in our Bible.
Many things are profitable, few are necessary.
What "much" exactly is required from you other than to live a good Christian life?
I think you did not read the conversation carefully.
You seem to be confused about what you are supposed to do for God. You care more about the form than about the goal.Jesus said if you love me, keep my commandments (John 14:15).
Jesus said if they do not receive you, they don’t receive me (See: John 13:20).
So we are to receive the words of the apostles as written in NT Scripture.
Paul said “If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 14:37).
If you were to do the study, there are 400 some commands in the New Testament.
Obviously obeying God is a part of living a good Christian life, right?
Would not obeying His commands in the New Testament be a part of that?
I would surely think so. So the Word of God is your life line to doing His will.

The goal is still very simple, for all generations of Christians.
I am not sure what you do not understand about it.
In the context of the word of the Lord carrying on a conversation with an individual. It depends on the context.
When you read the Bible, do you consider the context of what you read?Jesus said if we do not receive His words, those words will judge us on the last day (See: John 12:48).
I said that its not written who spoke the words to Abram. Its only written how the message came to him.Did you not imply that words in a vision by God are not actual words by God?
If that is not what you are saying then please tell us what you are saying.
I think you have a problem understanding the old English in your Bible. It seems you are mistaken about the figure of speech "the word came unto me", thinking that its a person? In the context of the word of the Lord carrying on a conversation with an individual.
Jer_1:11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.

You automatically put yourself as the target of Jesus' words, even though He spoke to the people around Him.Absolutely. If there is some context you think I am ignoring, then please feel free to share it to prove that you are correct.
I don't think it's a person I know it's a person. It's Jesus Christ. Jesus asked Jeremiah "What seest thou" and Jeremiah replied "I see a rod of an almond tree".I think you have a problem understanding the old English in your Bible. Maybe some newer English translations could help you.
I see. You take the figures of speech literally. A common mistake while reading the Bible.I don't think it's a person I know it's a person. It's Jesus Christ. Jesus asked Jeremiah "What seest thou" and Jeremiah replied "I see a rod of an almond tree".
