So God’s words do not exist if they are in a vision?
I sure hope that is not what you are saying.
For we have a book called “Revelation” in our Bible.
I think you did not read the conversation carefully.

Many things are profitable, few are necessary.

What "much" exactly is required from you other than to live a good Christian life?

Jesus said if you love me, keep my commandments (John 14:15).
Jesus said “He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me;” (See: John 13:20). In other words, these words in John 13:20 is referring to how we must receive the words of the apostles as written in NT Scripture.

Paul said “If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 14:37).

If you were to do the study, there are 400 some commands in the New Testament you would know what I am talking about. For obviously obeying God is a part of living a good Christian life, right? Would not obeying His commands in the New Testament be a part of that? I would surely think so. So the Word of God is your life line to doing His will.

Jesus said if they do not receive you, they don’t receive me (See: John 13:20).
So we are to receive the words of the apostles as written in NT Scripture.

You seem to be confused about what you are supposed to do for God. You care more about the form than about the goal.
The goal is still very simple, for all generations of Christians.

Jesus said if we do not receive His words, those words will judge us on the last day (See: John 12:48).

So you are saying that the 400 some commands in the New Testament are irrelevant and unnecessary to the Christian life?

I am not sure what you do not understand about it.

Did you not imply that words in a vision by God are not actual words by God?
If that is not what you are saying then please tell us what you are saying.

It depends on the context.
In the context of the word of the Lord carrying on a conversation with an individual.

Jer_1:11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.

When you read the Bible, do you consider the context of what you read?

I said that its not written who spoke the words to Abram. Its only written how the message came to him.

I think you have a problem understanding the old English in your Bible. It seems you are mistaken about the figure of speech "the word came unto me", thinking that its a person?

Maybe some newer English translations could help you.

Absolutely. If there is some context you think I am ignoring, then please feel free to share it to prove that you are correct.

You automatically put yourself as the target of Jesus' words, even though He spoke to the people around Him.

Yes, I think this is in reference to the communicated Word in Jeremiah.

I see. You take the figures of speech literally. A common mistake while reading the Bible.
