  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

There were only Jews and Gentiles.

Was the Sanhedrin Gentile?

What is you objection to the facts?
when you say Jews it implies ALL Jews, not just those of the Sanhedrin. There were Jews all over the globe (in Ethiopia, in Greece, in Persia, etc) that never even heard of Yeshua at that point...

Yes in the context of the NT...every Jew alive at that time did NOT know who Yeshua was and never heard of him until long after he died. Otherwise there would have been no need to send apostles out to teach to any Jews.

Which has nothing to do with Jews being responsible for the death of Jesus.

Of course it does...you are implying ALL Jews were at the time when you say "Jews". There were more Jews in the world that knew nothing about Him at all at that time than Jews that did and who were involved in His death.

And you know what I am "implying," how?. . .all the Jews in the world, all the Jews in Israel, all the Jews in the Sanhedrin,
all the Jews in. . .?

Seems you are unfamiliar with the NT usage of the term.

Exactly...saying "Jews" can mean all Jews or just 2...I'm just saying maybe you need to be more specific...no need to be offended!

Some terrible things have happened to the Jews over the centuries... Ones in living memory include the Holocaust during WW2 and the attacks last year. I remember learning about Anne Francs diaries when I was is school. Awful times.

But according to Christianity, most of those tortured and murdered Jews are roasting in hell as they don't have the necessary faith in Christ's sacrifice..

Isn't this simply unfair and unjust? Is this the best God could come up with?
No, there is no scripture that says the lost go roasting in hell when they die.

The wages of sin is death Rom 6:23 those who do not believe perish John 3:16 not burn eternally which makes them immortal when the plain scriptures say they die. Judgement is the last day and I trust God to be fair with His Judgement, we will either receive everlasting life and life with Jesus or one will be no more.

No, it doesn't. In one context it means one thing—in another it means another. Stick to the subject at hand.

Oh that's ok then? They aren't going to hell, just being denied life...
... the point is they are severely punished one way or the other.

Anne Frank is either in hell or dead according to Christianity...
... but some of the Nazi's may be in heaven... not because they were lovely people, they clearly weren't, but because they accepted Jesus' free gift of salvation.
You don't think that's twisted? The Bible is crystal clear... The only Way is Jesus... Christ in his own words has excluded alternatives. Unless Christ is let in people who don't accept him... Is that possible?

We don't actually know that Anne Frank will be judged the way you've said. We also don't know the extent that any one Nazi who committed human atrocities fully engaged in faith in Christ.

So, it's best not to assume too much either way in these instances, Telly.

All we can know for sure is that if some one person clearly, distinctly, fervently, knowingly, and without psychological and cultural confusion, denies Jesus as Lord and Savior, then...............

We are now talking about two different things.

Your initial post was that people burn forever and ever if not saved, yet this is unbiblical and is really against the character of God.

Now you are working under the false pretense that all Jews are lost and I don't know where that is biblical either. What we are told is there is no longer jew or gentile, we are all grafted in through our faith Gal 3:26-30

Also, there is no scripture that says we go directly to heaven when we die. Jesus said when one dies, they sleep Mark 5:39. Jesus is our example and when He died, He rested in His tomb until He was resurrected. We are told the resurrection has not come and won't until Jesus comes in the clouds when those in Christ will rise from their graves and those alive will meet Him in air. Rev 20:4-6 1 Thessalonians 4:17

The issue is sin and its a big problem, one that is so big it sent God's only Son to the Cross to die for the penalty of our sins. Thats how much the Godhead loves humanity. Sin can't continue because it separates man from God Isa 59:2 so God has given everyone the opportunity to accept Him as our personal Savior and turn from sin Pro 28:13 through our love and His power John 14:15-18, but unfortunately not everyone wants to come to the light, but want to stay in darkness because they like sin John 3:18-21 and while the Holy Spirit tugs at our hearts daily to come out of rebellion to Him Heb 3:7-8 not everyone hears His voice and responds. Jesus promises a world for His faithful where there is no more sin, no more sorrow, no more death, the way God always intended when He created this world before it got hijacked by the devil. God is longsuffering, why He is patiently waiting for everyone to make there decisions to choose Him, or not Rev 22:11 but mercy and justice will prevail and we have to trust God's righteous judgement. We are told everyone will see His righteousness in the end, but not everyone will be saved because of their choices. God's judgement is one of love, because not everyone will be happy in heaven with no more sin, but because God can't exist in a divided kingdom, He has no choice but to destroy sin and sinners once and for all for those who do not choose Him.
