The Invisible Children

well, last night I went to a showing of the show/documentary called The Invisible Children ... These children (from Uganda/Sudan) are taken form their home and forced into war slavery. All the children flee the outskirts to the inner city every night so that the rebels do not capture them. The boys are taken and brainwashed into being horrid solider's - they are taken into THE BUSH and forced to kill, chop of limbs of people, and watch brutal beating and murders. The girls - are taken as wife's and slaves - they are raped and beaten.. most get STD's and AID's.

I've been to that site and it really touched my heart. I feel terrible for those children and it definitely makes me feel lucky to live in the United States.

I had the opportunity to watch this at my university at the weekly "cultural enrichment program" and it was shocking. The children are taken at a young age (when most impressionable) and brainwashed to do the bidding of the tyrant.
