Yay I am glad to see your original thread back up and running. I am posting, cause I had a pm from a friend asking for support, so I am here for her. funny how I can fight the battle for someone else, but can't seem to pick up the sword and fight for myself. I am too tired.

Great to see you, dear one!

I know what you mean about fighting for another, but not for yourself. My Beloved is like that to some extent. She's tired most of the time cos of her ill-health but she'll look after someone else even if it's to her own detriment. I've had to become quite 'strict' with her that she is not 'allowed' *grin* to do that with me when I'm struggling with my ill-health!

So yeah, I do know what you mean. Try and be at rest, in His peace, and let His love just surround and envelop and calm and settle you! Mmm... wonderful!!! And don't struggle, but rather let God by His Spirit Who is in you do the work. It took me YEARS to learn this, but now it's really quite astonishing what 'I' can do - cos it's the Holy Spirit Who's doing most of it!!

Bless you heaps!

BTW HR...if you would like for others to pray with you in your desire to help someone then just say the word. I will be lifting you up!

Anyone can ask for prayer for anything here at any time. There are some great prayer people here, some posting, some just reading. One of the number of things we seem to do well at the IR is pray! "Lord, I bless Your wonderful Name for that!!!"

Thankyou so much to you non-posters who pray and are part of our family!

Oh, it is ALL Him, isn't it, that gets us through. What wonderful news it is that He loves us so much, and is able to complete us, it's really ALL about Him.

Your thread is very uplifting, your love such a wonderful testimony. Thanks. May we all be confident in Him today, for He is at work, perfecting each one of us.
Philippians 1:6 (KJV) Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
Your sister in Christ, and with you in His inner room.

Cindy did a great post a little while ago, HERE, and I'm sure she won't mind me quoting a few things from it.

For example, I SO loved this:
"He alone satisfies. He alone meets every need. He alone repairs the brokenness of our lives."
Wow, wow, wow! But I can't help wondering if there are some here who don't experience this yet? Well, you can. And it's not Rocket Science either! Cindy clearly said how to: "We are to walk in obedience to what we know." Okay, what would you say is the most important word there? "Walk"? No. Well then surely it must be what we "know". Nope.

Yep, it's obedience. We're NOT very obedient we Western christians; in fact we're mostly very disobedient! - so we shouldn't really wonder why our Christian life isn't working as we expect. So... do you read the Word as your daily bread, and in doing so are always on the look out for what He wants you to, well... OBEY! Changed me life, I tell ya, soon as I started doing this. Okay, here's an example - I just grabbed the first one I came to:

Romans
12:18
If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.

Is there an instruction here? Definitely. Many would call it an admonition of the Lord, and that's okay, cos 'admonition' means a bidding, a dictate, and also what I call it (because it's helped me SO much!) a command! Cos it IS!!

God is saying to me, "Bondman, my son, as much as you can possibly manage, live in peace with everyone." I simply say, "Yes, Lord!" then ensure that I add, "and You know I need the help of the Holy Spirit so I can do this." And I start putting it into action! Told you it isn't Rocket Science!!

Do you get the idea? These gems are there in the hundreds throughout the New Testament. And may I say that all of His commands are loving and kind - even when they may not feel so. Because they're always via Jesus' yoke. As Cindy quoted from Matthew 11:30 "For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden is light."

So you're not gonna be hurt by looking for His commands, to do them! Just the opposite, they will help you to become truly His, learning to OBEY Him cos you love Him, and really can't help yourself doing so!

I'll end, again with what Cindy wrote: We are to walk in OBEDIENCE! Trust me, my lovely friends here, this is the only way to go!!!

This is what I am trying to do now, let the Lord heal the brokenness and pain inside...I have to learn to 'let' it (the pain) go. But as I said, that isn't so easy.

What a kind thing to say. Thank you.
Since I have been of dubious origin of late, I thought you would enjoy something coming from the "right place" for a change!
Should I copy it over here? I will if you desire; I shall not if you don't. :holy:

Obedience.

Love your post, as I presume you knew I would. ;)

Obedience. It does make all the difference to walking in liberty, joy, and every good thing He has for us. Disobedience is a major roadblock keeping us from receiving what the Lord has for us. There are others. This is oneof them.
