this thread keeps getting better and better. and jacob-thetheory-jacob is assuredly an ass. i don't know blackwasp-jacob well enough to say either way about him, though.

i finally got around to getting some new cd's the other day. i got the arcade fire's album, the fiery furnaces' blueberry boat, & the newest decemberists album. good stuff.

Dear Carroll,
You're only upset becase I left our IM conversation last night without a "goodnight" or even a simple "goodbye." I do apologize for that and explain my actions thus:

My Computer Sucks.
aka, I'll be signed online and on AIM and then things stop. Nothing loads and things just sit doing nothing. Then after several minutes AIM randomly quits and AOL disconnects. After one of these "episodes" I am requiered to re-start before I sign back online.

Often I am too lazy to do so, especially at the wee early hours of the morning.

And I have learned, through feedback from others, that during one of these spells, my screen name still appears to be logged into AIM. However, I assure you that I was not ignoring you if, indeed, it showed my s/n to be logged in.

And now that I have proven myself to be not an ass... will you marry me?

Um, I mean, will you at least sign into AIM more frequently? baby steps, you know...

instead of proving yourself not to be an ass, you proved yourself a lazy ass! haven't we already been over the whole marriage thing? i thought we were at least engaged once upon a time. (though in all seriousness, no worries about the whole signing off thing; i figured it was just that your computer had messed up.)

now then, for music! i totally dig the song "chief inspector blancheflower" by the fiery furnaces. their songs are really weird to have stuck in your head though. also, i almost bought the soundtrack for the life aquatic the other day, but then i didn't. i probably shoulda though, 'cause i remember enjoying it a lot in the movie.

Hmm, I wouldn't really categorize Franz Ferdinand as indie but they are quite good.

I like Further Seems Forever; I think they changed a lot with the new vocalist and I love 'How To Start a Fire'.

The Shins is cool. They use them, as well as, Remy Zero on soundtracks a LOT. I like both, though.

Others I like are Cool Hand Luke and Poor Old Lu.

You know, it kind of bothers me how indie has become such a trend because of the O.C! Really, now 13-year-old kids are all excited about emo. Garden State was another 'trendy' thing -pretty good movie, though. Crazy/Beautiful has a good soundtrack too.
