I feel great sorrow to say that many Christians are failing to fulfil their Religiously ordained rites, such as fasting, etc.

Fasting is of great importance, especially during times like Lent. When persevering to the Christian calendar Christians are obliged to fast quite often, like during the Holy Week, Good Friday, Ash Wednesday, and holy Saturday are times of reflection of Jesus and times of fasting. Lent is not only for fasting, but for subordinating mans desires for the desires of God, for restricting lust and glutton, for sacrificing something.
There are many other days which fasting is required, and even fasting on non Christian holidays is required, for it is good in the eyes of God. Fasting in order that your prayers may be accepted, fasting is very very important. So is feasting, like on the day of Jesus' Ascension into heaven, Pentecost and the day preceding the beginning of lent on which some Christians overindulge before sacrificing something for lent.

Also something which Christians must follow is reclusiveness.

And Christian women mustn't adorn themselves with prideful clothing, like braided hair and costly attire.

Not all can fast. I cannot fast as I am hypoglycemic.

Do you really feel great sorrow? I doubt your intentions were good in posting it to this forum. Call me heartless but I don't give a rip about your beloved rites.

You probably love serving your church as it were God, obeying their traditions more than the word of God. And to believe you have to do that stuff for your prayers to be heard, makes me feel sorry for you.

If you want to curb lust, try living in the Spirit; try coming out of the world; try presenting your body as a living sacrifice. In that you will cease from sin, and not just on lent or your holy days.

I don't believe it is necessary to be discourteous about this or to question another's intentions.

If you believe that bringing attention to the importance of fasting is unscriptural, then post the Scriptures which say that God does not care to have Christians fast.

The truth is that Christ Himself stressed the importance of fasting when dealing with evil spirits. And Paul indicated that there are times when Christians need to fast. And one will find througout the Bible that there is clear teaching on the connection between fasting and prayer.

At the same time, ascetism is not taught by Christ or by the apostles. Christians must live in the world while being apart from the world.

The OP calls fasting "a religiously ordained rite". No one is saying that fasting is unscriptural or wrong. We are just saying that it is not a "religiously ordained rite".

I have hypotension worsened by food restriction, but I have a God who is powerful enough to keep me safe during fasting. Problem is, I was never taught how to fast and my church does not discuss fasting. I have been interested in fasting for some time now but am rather ignorant on the matter if you would like to go into more detail. Details such as: How long you should fast, how often, for what occasions and reasons, what is the purpose of fasting in general, what should your mind be on while fasting, what are some scriptures explaining fasting, etc.
