I'll come back to this when I have time to give an answer that will do justice to the subject. Thanks for your patience.

I'll try to do that. But in all honesty, I'll be reading fast because I'm really kind of content with where I'm at on God's soverignty. Though it is a very big area of discussion.

I found the Wickipedia article to be a quick enough read for me. It listed the 28 theses as well as the tenets of his debate. Below is an overall summary quote, concerning what could be a long study.

The Theology of the Cross (Theologia Crucis) is a term coined by the theologian Martin Luther to refer to theology which points to the cross as the only source of knowledge concerning who God is and how God saves. It is contrasted with the theology of glory (theologia gloriae), which places greater emphasis on human abilities and human reason.

I guess I'm not too sure what you wanted me to get out of it, in regards to this thread Tangible. I believe I am more in line with Martin's opinion concerning revelation of scripture by the 'Holy Spirit' [Joh 16:13] and the 'anointing within' [1Jo 2:27]. Neither of which is the theology of glory IMO.

JOH 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.

1JO 2:27 but the anointing which you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that any one should teach you; as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie, just as it has taught you, abide in him.
