• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So did Kent see this comet coming? Did it layer the ice? Did he have a dream..?

I have to admit, this makes so called science look plausible almost.

They have eternal salvation and God living in them. Relax. He will show em. Just like He will bury so called science.

I beg to differ, from my perspective one of the most detrimental things to Christianity is Biblical literalism and all it's many wondered fruits.

Only eight people lived when the other humanoids went extinct, and they "flooded" Out-of-Africa up to the tops of the mountains and around the whole globe.

But the scriptures are written for all men and all times.
The "flood" out of Africa is a comparatively recent observation.
So saying that this is what the writers intended is incorrect.

I've tried explaining that to him before, good luck.

The idea that Noah's Ark refers to the skull of Noah who survived the extinction of all mankind about 40 thoudsand years ago is more like Literary Criticism than something to be proven.

Which method of Literary Criticism would allow that interpretation?

types of literary criticism

Like....??

unlike you most people don't stick their fingers in their ears and go lalalala. People investigate the claims and quite frankly yours fall short scientifically and theologically. The insistence of the Bible being a literal history of sorts means that when someone looks into what science actually claims rather than the strawmen that they've observed and burned under the careful eye of men such as Mr. Hovind and yourself they dismiss it, however they should note that just because you guys are wrong about science doesn't mean you're right about theology.

My claim is that present state science falls short. That is obvious. You failed to prove your required and claimed same state past. As for theology, does that insinuate little old you can make a rival bible case for a same state past?? If so, do it. Make my day.

So exactly where am I wrong about science o man that claims stuff? And what bible case against the flood and creation do you have o funny one?

While he's got people like you he will continue to live a life of luxury for telling lies, you have a lot in common because you are both 'make up artists'.
Insanity. I never even so much as wathed the video. Try again o man that makes stuff up.
Is there anything he could say that would make you doubt him? will you be giving him even more money when he comes out of prison?
I have never heard him. Hard to doubt that!
How can I relax when I'm laughing so hard while worrying about the children?
How noble. worried about "the" children. Do these include the ones killed each year before birth?
How long are you prepared to wait for him to 'bury science'?
Till He does it. Or I die.

till you or he dies?
Neither me nor God can die. Get a grip.

God was the One I referred to that will bury so called science. This is news??

Let's look at what Jesus said about the Flood, why not? His words were:
"For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man."
If this is the case then surely the time before the flood was the same as that of Jesus and even the future.

So exactly where am I wrong about science o man that claims stuff?
I'll go with your multistate universe claim.

And what bible case against the flood and creation do you have o funny one?
I can give you a biblical case for why they aren't literal, though I have already you've dismissed them because they don't fit in with your preconceived theology.

By Brian Thomas thru Tobewan.
Kuhn cited the work of another medical doctor, Geoffrey Simmons, who described 17 "all or nothing" human body systems.4 These combine with many others to form the entire human body-a system of systems-that is irreducible at many levels, from gross anatomy to biochemistry. For example, just as a woman would die without her heart, she would also die without the vital blood biochemical hemoglobin.

But even an intact heart and hemoglobin need regulation. A heart that beats too fast or too slow can be just as lethal as having no heart, and a body that produces too much or too little hemoglobin can be equally unhealthy. Thus, the systems that regulate heartbeats and hemoglobin must also have been present from the beginning.

Kuhn wrote that "virtually every aspect of human physiology has regulatory elements, feedback loops, and developmental components that require thousands of interacting genes leading to specified protein expression." Thus, "the human body represents an irreducibly complex system on a cellular and an organ/system basis."1

Evolution has no proven explanations for the origin of just one irreducibly complex system, let alone the interdependent web of irreducible systems that comprise the human body.

Could the human body have evolved? According to Kuhn, to change another creature into a human "would require far more than could be expected from random mutation and natural selection."1 However, a wonderfully constructed human body is exactly what an all-wise Creator would make, and He promised that those who trust in Him will one day inherit new bodies "that fadeth not away."5

We also have evidence that Homo erectus in Asia and Europe hybridized with African-Homo erectus which eventually lead to Neanderthal and even modern man.

Science Fiction is commonly based on facts.
That's what makes it accessible and fun to read.

Do you have a sin nature that you were born with?

(Just a YES or NO please.)
