I do not think so. God centered everything around a 7 day week cycle. Isaiah is saying on the New Earth there will be one new moon to another so there must be some sort of time on the New Earth.A day ends when it becomes night. If there is no more night then the day does not end.
I worship God daily He is the center of my life, but God deemed the seventh day as His holy Sabbath day so on this day it is an entire day of communion with my Savior and I work the rest of the week, like God told me to. Exodus 20:8-11Will you worship Jesus every new moon to another?
So you believe that all flesh will only worship God at most, 5 times a month? Is that your interpretation of Isaiah?Well this is what the scripture says:
Isaiah 66:
22 “For as the new heavens and the new earth
Which I will make shall remain before Me,” says the Lord,
“So shall your descendants and your name remain.
23 And it shall come to pass
That from one New Moon to another,
And from one Sabbath to another,
All flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says the Lord.
Or it is an expression meaning perpetual worship.I do not think so. God centered everything around a 7 day week cycle. Isaiah is saying on the New Earth there will be one new moon to another so there must be some sort of time on the New Earth.
Did I say that? God is the center of my life. I worship Him daily. Does God tell us to work six days?So you believe that all flesh will only worship God at most, 5 times a month? Is that your interpretation of Isaiah?
It doesn't say that, it says from one Sabbath to another, just like from one Sabbath to another I go to church to worship my Savior.Or it is an expression meaning perpetual worship.
Oh but it does.It doesn't say that, it says from one Sabbath to another, just like from one Sabbath to another I go to church to worship my Savior.
i agree 100% with your quote in Isaiah that we are to worship God every day. God walked with Adam and Eve in the Garden EVERY DAY. Enoch walked with God 300 years. This is fact and not in dispute. However...and this is the big HOWEVER...That describes worshipping God every day. It speaks of perpetual worship.

SDA's all believe that Constantine simply ratified an already accepted practice. The change did not come from Constantine. Christians from well before Constantine are documented worshipping Christ specifically on Sunday which they referred to as the Lord's day.
That hasn't been my experience during discussions with SDA's on this topic.SDA's all believe that Constantine simply ratified an already accepted practice.
SabbathBlessings said:Interesting, but what is missing is God commanding us to not keep His seventh day Sabbath holy and the first day is now God's new holy day.
According to God, He commanded us to keep the seventh day holy. This is the day that is God's Sabbath according to God. Exodus 20:8-11, Genesis 2:3 He told us it is a perpetual covenant Exodus 31:16 which is why on the New Earth we will continue worshipping God on His chosen day Isaiah 66:23 not the day that is a commandment of man that Jesus warns us about Mathew 15:3-9. It's well documented the change in the day of worship for the majority of people and that change came from outside the Bible. Since our God is our Creator and Savior, I am going to let God be God and worship Him on the day He asked us to REMEMBER and keep holy.
Jesus kept the Sabbath and are we not told to follow Jesus? Luke 4:16. His disciples kept Sabbath as well Acts 18:4 and Paul summed it up when he told us but keeping the commandments of God is what matters. 1 Corinthians 7:19
It's more than just a day of rest, but that's part of it. God's holy day is the seventh day Sabbath period. It's part of our moral duty out of love to keep all of His commandments including the 4th, which is the only one He started with the word "REMEMBER" stated there not by accident or mistake. Exodus 20:8-11 I'm sure you appreciate it when your family celebrates your birthday on the actual day you were born, instead of a day that is more convenient for them. When we obey God, we are allowing His will to be ours. God bless
Hi Fred,Yes, as Jesus fulfilled the law with doing all that was according to commandments, it was not for us to then not follow him in that. The difference in Jesus is that Jesus is the effective sacrifice and atonement, no one and no other being needs to be killed for us.
I have been resting as I can on the seventh day, remembering this day for it. The last I had church involvement was through online services, it was still with my church that has Sunday services. There is no Seventh Day church near enough, I am not Seventh Day Adventist anyway. But if there was an online Seventh Day service, like a Seventh Day Baptist service, I would attend that.
That hasn't been my experience during discussions with SDA's on this topic.
Your experience on SDA'S???That hasn't been my experience during discussions with SDA's on this topic.
Your experience on SDA'S???
I AM an SDA, and my dad is also an SDA pastor...I can tell you your experience with SDA's is not reflective of what the church teaches its members or what they believe.
It is historical fact, Constantine simply ratified an already existing Christian church habit of worshiping on Sunday. All SDA's are taught this...if you just happened to listen to the ones who didn't, that is true of any church doctrine. There are some SDA's who are not trinitarian, their are some who do not believe in the heavenly sanctuary doctrine of 1844...I wonder if you have met any of those?
