I hurt my back about 6 or 7 weeks ago, nothing serious, just a pulled muscle but it prevented me from being active. I really babied it and put on almost 10lbs. Having had enough I started jumping rope and took off the weight in three days of skipping. The first day was 30 min. stopping only when I hit my shins and starting right back up again. It was too much so I took a day off and did 2 x 20 min. but I felt really tight in the legs so the three day I did 2 x 5 min. with plenty of stretching and 2 x 10 min. The weight I put on was off. Now I jump rope to keep it off and it doesn't really take much time or cost a bundle. I had an old skipping rope in my bag from boxing but a new one costs about $10 bucks at Wal Mart.

Anyone cycle?

I've been walking or cycling back and forth to work the last few months. I'm thinking about picking up a retro looking cruser or 1980's 10 Speed. :)

What do you ride or recommend?

Thanks
