The new movie, The Grudge, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar is coming out in October, It's a re-make of the Japanese horror film Juon. Has anyone seen Juon? Anyone looking forward to the American version?

In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't know, man...
I'm such a wimp when it comes to scary movies... but... one thing I've noticed when watching the previews...
You know that one part where there's a shot of a staircase and this little girl with long dark hair is crawling down them?
I don't know but it reminds me of "The Ring" like crazy! Maybe I'm just insane but she looks JUST like the freaky dead chick in the Ring.
Ah whatever. I won't see it anyways, haha.

Man...I will admit this movie looks scary. Last Saturday night I was at a bar with a buddy of mine, and the trailer for that movie came on the TV behind the bar and we both looked at each other and said "holy krap that looks scary!"

The kid looks actually kinda cute to me, maybe I'm just crazy. The part that freaked me out in the preview is the shower scene where those, nubs i guess pop out of the back of her head.

I watched "The Grudge" and would recommend the Japanese version. The director has very similar themes. Usually an estranged and single mom trying to protect her child from a sad but unthinking malicious ghost who merely wants something (usually love). It is the struggle to save the child which usually gets me hooked. I would however never watch it at the theatre as then I can't fast forward the scary bits.
