That is sooo Cool, so am I, although I dont know nearly enough about the old faith as I wish I did.... to know the old is to understand the new, the more of the old I know the more I understand the new.

The point, apparently, is that God is extremely technical about things. In fact, He's so technical as to consider the whole sabbath thing THE most important issue in the world. It is God's will that one breaks free from other denominations and found a new one on the opinion that the week starts on sunday. Man is pretty much out of tune with God because so many of us are running one day behind.knownbeforetime said:I guess if we wanted to know the true Sabbath, we would have to figure out the exact day, month, and year of the first day of creation and count off by seven....
Saturday, Sunday, what's the difference?
That was sarcasm, wasn't it?holo said:The point, apparently, is that God is extremely technical about things. And I suppose that means we shouldn't eat on the Sabbath (whenever that is) or eat meat w/dairy?vincejohn said:The Jews are the tribe of Judah the only existing tribe left identifiable. If they say the seventh day commences on Friday evening I believe them.

I consider the greatest hypocrytes the ministers who teach to pay tithes when this was a command given by God to Israel to pay ONLY to Levitecal priests. To prove you were a Levite you had to show actual documentation. And then these ministers trained by man doctrines teach you that the commandments have been abolished. They then tell you that the new Sabbath day rest is Sunday a man made commandment. So to take your money they show you Malaci 3 when they are not entitled to it and then teach you their new Sabbath day and lead you into foresaking Gods true Sabbath day.
'' To enter life keep the commandments '' Jesus Christ.
'' Not one jot or tittle shall be taken away from the law, He who teaches to keep these commandments shall be great in heaven and he who teaches not shall be least in heaven'' Jesus Christ.
You know why I'm comfortable with a Sunday Sabbath? The Bible says: "Work six days and take the seventh off and devote it to me". (pp. Exodus 20:8-9) The names of the days aren't mentioned. In instituting the Sabbath, God was instructing the Israelites not to caught up in the daily grind but to take a day off and devote it to the Lord. Sunday is my day off.Prophet01 said:in the western culture we work seven days a week!
As for western christians the lords day was not meant to replace the sabbath, it is the fullfilment of the sabbath, I know a lot of fellowships dont worship on a saturday but saturday worship should not have been abandond by these fellowships, the lords day was not meant to replace the sabbath but to co-incide with it.
As for knowing when the sabbath is, traditionaly it is the friday evening to saturday evening.. if you want to take the risk and say its really a wednesday thats upto you, but I will trust the practice of saturday worship of the jews and sunday worship of the christians as the first and last days of the week

I posted the original commandment from the Ten Commandments. It says nothing about Saturday, Sunday, or their Hebrew equivalents.vincejohn said:Its not about people stuck in jungles its about the groups of people who have changed the sabbath from the seventh to the first. They have altered Gods commanmdments. The Israelis have kept accurste records, the days now have Roman names but the number system is still accurate and very present..I follow God ..The Lord of The Sabbath.
