i heard someone once say that they believe that the earth at one time was covered in a sort of ice shield. this shield kept out radiation and was the cause of the extremely long lives of noah and everyone else. when God melted the shield, the water fell and flooded the earth and exposed the world to the normal doses of radiation.
well, that was his theory anyway. as for me, i dont know.
