How can even the elect inoculate themselves from The Great Deception?

Mark 13:5 Jesus said to them: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 6 Many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and will deceive many.

Matthew 24:24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.



I think it will get harder and harder as we all lose our humility. Rather than being able to be self critical we are more likely dig our heels in and double down.

Scripter tells us that we can recognize the Spirit by fruits:

Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Perhaps they can also then serve as indicators. or their opposites, hate, sadness, impatience, cruelty, evil, faithlessness, harshness and self-indulgence

The answer is found in Revelation 14

Rev 14: 6 Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people— 7 saying with a loud voice, (Solution) ) “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come (also found in Ecc 12:13-14); and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.” Also found in Exo 20:11

8 And another angel followed, saying, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, (Problem) because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” (false/deceptive doctrine)

(Problem) 9 Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb

(Problem) 11 And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

(Solution) Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

Staying faithful to God, obeying His commandments based on His Authority - His version Exo 20:6 Exo 20 through faith and love will only lead us on the narrow path back to reconciliation Rev 22:14 Jesus said when one keeps their own rules in lieu of God's commandments quoting from the Ten Commandments- one worships in vain (false worship) Mat 15:3-14 compared to true worship found in Rev 14:12 Rev 22:14

Solution- let God be God and follow Him based on His Authority Exo 32:16 Exo 31:18 and have the faith of Jesus who not only took the penalty of sins, when we turn from our old life and are baptized in His death, but He lived to show us the WAY and led by example- our example to follow 1 John 2:6. How did Jesus live and what did He teach- that's your answer.

My Sibling in Jesus Christ, this gets down to the working out of our salvation with fear and trembling, of the matter. (Phil 2:12)

This gets down the the heart of the matter. Piety has lost much meaning over the thousand years plus, yet here, you have listed Love, Joy, Peace, Forbearance, Kindness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-Control and Humility. Against these things, there is no Law.

Could the Great Deception be politicians and billionaires, or the woke stuff of 2024? Or some form of technology such as AI or AI powered drones? And yes, I love Galatians 3:22-23. Gonna make a devotional about the Fruit of the Spirit sometime later this month or in August.

Yes, AI can be used for good, same with drones, but there are bad actors out there who could use the tech for malicious purposes.

Any born again child of God should not be worried about Matthew 24:24 as this happens during the tribulation and believers from the church age, will not be there.

Now if a person is a churchgoer , but has never believed in Jesus and has become a born again child of God and they do not die (physically) before the tribulation. Then they will be there and Matthew 24:24 will apply to them.

Paul also warned Timothy about deception and false teachings, leading people away from the faith. John also encouraged the believers to "test the spirits".

But we also see the church in Revelation 2:2 is commended for their discernment in testing false apostles, which shows that they took the warnings seriously.

But Paul snd John also explains how they are to avoid deception. (A thorough analysis of their writings would inform us a bit more) But they always made Jesus Christ and the gospel message a priority. Know the Truth, be grounded in Him. Trusting, relying, obedient to Him. Loving God and others. Being of service to God and others. Always promoting holy living.

Yes, which was John's assessment. 1John1:8-10.
And Jesus assessment when speaking to the Pharisees who were outside great but inside, self indulgent and full of greed.

So we all should be on guard against hypocrisy.
