I'm going to get right to the point.

The Gospel is not, nor has it ever been or ever will be, about money/material gain and it cannot save anyone nor should it be used as a means to get people to get saved. This is a very dangerous course to take, as it leads to false conversion.

The Gospel is Jesus Christ crucified and resurrected. If anyone comes to you with a different gospel, the bible says that person is anathema (Galatians 1:6-9).

Once someone sees that he has sinned against God and needs Christ, he repents, asks God for His forgiveness, accepts His free gift of salvation by faith in Jesus Christ, and is sealed with the Holy Spirit as a guarantee of his salvation. Next comes water baptism to show that he is dead to sin and is free to walk in newness of life to God (Romans 6).

He is saved by grace through faith and not that of himself but it was the free gift of God; not as a result of anything he has or hasn't done and therefore, he cannot boast about himself. Instead, he is God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works that He has prepared beforehand for him to walk in (Ephesians 2:8-10). Remember, its not his will anymore, but God's will be done. He now lives in God's grace (the power of the Holy Spirit to not have to sin but instead be a doer of God's word) and not under the law anymore. Not only is he saved from eternal death and separation from God, but also from His wrath.

Let it be known that even though God absolutely loves sinners, He absolutely hates sin and judges it. In the end, His wrath will come upon the world of the ungodly who deny Jesus and disobey the gospel (2 Thessalonians 1:6-10). Only a corrupt judge would not punish crime. God is Just and Holy and its a good thing that He is that way. It is written that He is not slow about His return as some would count slow, but is longsuffering; not wanting anyone to perish in their sins, but for all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). God made Jesus, who knew no sin, to be sin for us so that we might become the righteousness of God in Christ (1 Corinthians 5:21).

So, in a nutshell: sin, righteousness, the law (to show that man is not good nor divine but is in need of the Savior to be cleansed from all his or her sins), repentance, forgiveness of sins, trust in Jesus Christ, new creation, eternal life. And the good things that you do should be because of the Gospel, not to try to earn something from God or try to earn heaven because Jesus already earned heaven for you. Good works should only be done because you love God and people and know that God loves people (1 Corinthians 16:14). Any other motive is impure and at the judgement seat of Christ, all works that were done with impure motives, that were done not because of agape love for people but for other reasons, will be burned up (1 Corinthians 11-15).

We are saved by grace alone by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. There is absolutely no other way to God except through Him and He is the Door to eternal life and the kingdom of God. Anyone who tries to come in a different way is a thief and a robber. Buddah, Allah/Mohammed, Hare Krishna, or any other Hindu/pagan god or goddess cannot save you because they aren't even real. Mary and Joseph Smith cannot save you because they are not mediators between God and man. Why would Jesus need any human being to reconcile us to God when He already reconciled us to Himself on the cross (Romans 5:8 & 10)?! Scientology, Christian Science, Jehovah's Witness, and New Age[ism] cannot save you because they deviate away from orthodox christianity, but are cults straight from the pit of hell that are inspired by the father of lies, who sought to exalt himself above God but instead was cast down and hell (and ultimately, the lake of fire) has been prepared for him and his demons. Such will be the end of those who choose to follow him. Postmodernism and evolution does not and will not prevent anyone from giving an account to God for what one has done should he or she still be stubborn and not repent, whether you believe that or not. Really, they are just two of the many different forms of surpressing the truth in unrighteousness because it has to do with an unwillingness of accountability. Only Jesus Christ alone saves and restores!

Lastly, beware of anyone who claims to have special mystical insights/revelations/'new prophecies' from God but rejects the Trinity, the deity, incarnation, atoning death, sinlessness, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He is fully God and fully man and it is only through Him that one is saved, redeemed, and has any knowledge/understanding of the will of God.

God has commissioned every christian to go out into the world and PREACH THE GOSPEL TO ALL OF CREATION (Mark 16:15). So let's keep on doing that! And the Gospel is not winning people to your local church or charity or signs and wonders and miracles.

To God alone be all the glory, all the praise, all the credit, dominion, and power now and to the day of eternity.

Gospel or "good news" is something that the apostles was preaching at the time when they was sent by Jesus Christ and still preaching until today through the scriptures. They are the witnesses that it really happened and for us in our time who hear it should believe.

Now there is an specific gospel that the apostles are preaching there is no other gospel than this.

As Paul said,

Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, (2Ti. 2:8)

Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God — the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures regarding his Son, who as to his human nature was a descendant of David, and who through the Spirit of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God, by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord. Through him and for his name’s sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people from among all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith. And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ. (Ro. 1:1-6)

The apostles didn't preach other than this but now there's a lot of preacher preaching different gospel and different Jesus.

Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born. For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. Whether, then, it was I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed.(1Co. 15:1-11)

Paul said, "even I or they", they preach only this words...

For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough. (2Co. 11:4)

But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! (Ga. 1:8)

This is an excellent thread and worthy of full acceptation, or belief.

Then Peter began to speak: “I now realise how true it is that God does not show favouritism but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right. You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, telling the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.You know what has happened throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached —how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him. “We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a tree, but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen. He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen — by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead. All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.” While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. (Ac. 10:34-44)

See how Cornelious household recieved the the holy spirit? When they listened to Peter's message. It was this gospel of peace or good news.

This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. (Lk. 24:46-48)

He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter. (2Th. 2:14-15)

Their letters reached us today..

As Paul said,

It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation. Rather, as it is written: “Those who were not told about him will see, and those who have not heard will understand.” [Isaiah 52:15] (Ro. 15:20-21)

In another part of Acts, Peter said...

But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him. David said about him: “`I saw the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will live in hope, because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay. You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.’ [Psalm 16:8-11] “Brothers, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day. But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne. Seeing what was ahead, he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, [Or Messiah. “The Christ” (Greek) and “the Messiah” (Hebrew) both mean “the Anointed One”; also in verse 36.] that he was not abandoned to the grave, nor did his body see decay. God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact.(Ac. 2:24-32)

Emilio.....what exactly are you saying and what is your point in posting what you have so far?

One receives the Holy Spirit because he/she believes in and trusts Jesus Christ as not only the Savior, but also Lord of his/her life. If people received the Holy Spirit just by merely listening to a message, then everybody would be filled. But that's not the case. Its only when you truely believe and surrender your all to God.

There's only one Gospel and that is Jesus Christ crucified and resurrected. The good news is that God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God in Christ. Every single last one of us deserve hell but because of God's great mercy and love, He (in the person of Jesus Christ....because Jesus is God) did all that for us that just so we can be free from the bondage of sin, be saved from God's wrath and not be eternally separated from Him. Would any one of us dare to die for ungrateful, spoiled rotten, self righteous, mean spirited, prideful people? No! But Jesus did. And when you trust Him, life is so much sweeter and you get to have the joy and honor of serving Him! Now, that's love!

There is no specific gospel. All that Paul and Peter was based upon the foundation that Jesus already laid and they were very mindful of how they built upon it. So, unless I am misunderstanding you, your posts sound as if they only preached the good news of peace.

The only peace that man can ever hope to have with God is to trust His Son, Jesus Christ, as Savior and Lord and receive His righteousness (Romans 5:1).

Leah,

My point is that all the verses that I've posted was only gospel that the apostles are preaching not way that you said although it came from the scriptures. Many preachers are preaching the words that you said but it is not the real gospel.

That is why John said,

They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognise the Spirit [Or spirit] of truth and the spirit of falsehood. (1Jn. 4:5-6)

So you see the way they taught it to you is the way of the world.

For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.” Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling-block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength. (1Co. 1:19-25)

The wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. The way you explained it is way of the world, through study. By not seeking God and the truth.

"The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned." (1Co. 2:14)

Ok Emilio, I thought about what you said and been going over all that you've posted and what I posted. So please correct me if I'm wrong.

The Gospel (the good news) is that God made Jesus, who knew no sin, to be sin for us so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). He has reconciled the world to Himself on the cross (2 Corinthians 5:18-19). God loved us so much that He gave us His only begotten Son and that whoever believes in Him will not perish but will have everlasting life. God didn't send His Son to the world to condem it, but to save it. (John 3:16-17) Jesus Christ is the The Way, The Truth, and The Life and no one can come to the Father except through Him (John 14:6), for there is salvation in no one else and no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). And only upon repentance can one be completely forgiven for all his/her sins (Luke 24:47) and be a new creation. In fact, the forgiveness of sins is the heart of the Gospel and unfortunately, many people (christians included) don't understand this. I know I didn't but now I do. Without believing that God has raised Jesus Christ from the dead, a person's faith is meaningless and still in his or her sins and not saved.

The rest of what was said in the OP obviously isn't the Gospel, but there's alot of philisophical nonsense and cults that are being perpetrated as truth and coming from God when they are not, but they are lies straight from hell.

Forgive me for not clarifying that in the OP. However, I still and always will stand by this truth: that we are saved by grace alone by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. And the message we need to be preaching throughout the world is Jesus Christ crucified and resurrected. It is true that the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing and on their way to hell, but for those of us who are saved, it is the power of God (1 Corinthians 1:18).

As far as good deeds go, they are like filthy rags apart from Jesus. Even satan isn't against morality...as long as they're not backed by the gospel. So everything that we do should only be done in love; love for God, for people, and the knowledge that God loves people (1 Corinthians 16:14). Your heart must be right with God and when it is, your good deeds will be done with right motives and in genuine love. Otherwise, they mean nothing to Him. It is truth that our good works alone will not save us.

Also, I hope we all understand that our lives and the good things we do are not The Gospel. Those things, instead, are evidence of God giving us a new heart and a right spirit that genuinely loves Him, so how we live and what we do is because of The Gospel. The bible doesn't say to go out in the world and show the Gospel; its says to preach it. And preaching involves using one's mouth to speak.

Its also been said that our actions will speak louder than our words. IMO, that isn't quite right. It is because of this very reason that there are false converts out in the world: because some think the Gospel is charity, signs, wonders, and miracles. It's not. Again, those things are evidence of a changed heart and the Spirit of God that is upon the christian. Our actions will not save anyone. Only Jesus saves and it is His Spirit that does the regenerating and consecrating inside the christian for God's glory, alone. Everything that the Holy Spirit says and does is to glorify God, not man. This is what the bible teaches over and over and over again.

My thing is that when christians preach about the gospel, I think we should take it a step further and explain how lives are changed and why we speak against sin and for righteousness as much as we do rather than just saying how to be saved and leaving it at that. For example, some people are all too aware of us being against, say, homosexuality and abortion. But they're only hearing just what we are against and are hostile/indignant towards us. Why? Because we're not bringing the Gospel. Remember, the heart of it is the complete forgiveness of sins, a new heart and a right spirit from God. So when people get mad, let them be mad or offended because of the Gospel, not because of us being against sin and for righteousness.

Leah,

It's true that Jesus is the only way to the Father, truth and life and the repentance of sins through his name.

This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. (Lk. 24:46-48)

About faith and righteousness,

And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” [Gen.15:6] and he was called God’s friend. You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone. (Ja. 2:23-24)

Righteousness is not preach today and how people to become righteous in God's sight.

Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. (Ps 1:5)

“but the righteous to eternal life” (Mt 25:46).

The righteous only enters the kingdom of God.

As Peter said,

For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? And, “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?” [Prov. 11:31] (1Pe. 4:17-18)

Therefore our righteousness will come from faith in God giving us the example of Abraham.

What does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” (Gen. 15:6); (Ro. 4:3)

This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.” (Ro. 4:23)

The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness — for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead(Ro. 4:24).

The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” (Ga. 3:8)

But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” [Deut. 30:14] that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth,” Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (Ro. 10:8-10)

Notice it, believe in your heart that “God raised Jesus from the dead” and “confess in your mouth that Jesus Christ is your Lord” you will be saved.

I will say it in a simple term; you have to believe in these words that I’ve mentioned above. “God raised him from the dead” and “confess that Christ is the Lord”.

Like Jesus said,

Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. (Jn. 17:3)

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. (Jn. 14:1)

Now faith comes together with action. That is righteousness.

Paul said,

“And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you. Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation — but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live,” (Ro. 8:11-13)

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God — this is your spiritual [Or reasonable] act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Ro. 12:1)

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? (2Co. 6:14)

“Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” [Isaiah 52:11; Ezek. 20:34,41] (2Co. 6:17)

“Be holy, because I am holy.” [Lev.11:44,45; 19:2; 20:7] Since you call on a Father who judges each man’s work impartially, live your lives as strangers here in reverent fear. For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God. (1Pe. 1:17-21)

Also, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. , (1Co. 9:27)

Paul said “I beat my body and make it my slave”. Beating it means mastering it away from sins and later not disqualified for the prize, the eternal life…

If a righteous man turns from his righteousness and does evil, he will die for it. And if a wicked man turns away from his wickedness and does what is just and right, he will live by doing so. (Ez. 33:18-19)

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. (Ja. 1:27)

Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. (Ja. 2:21-22)
