Tom Jones (Singer) – Pop singer Tom Jones was born Thomas Jones Woodward and so although he's not officially a Jones, he's included here because he's known by his last name of Jones. His mother's maiden name was Jones (Freda Jones)

(Were you able to keep up with all that?)

I bought a new gadget: you put venison in the top, turn the handle, and it comes out as pheasant
It's a real game changer...

How do deer get revenge?
By giving each other a taste of their own venison

I bought hair extensions and paid the barber with venison.
I'd say that's a real bang for my buck

(Ok, that's enough)

There is a linguistic phenomenon called Pejoration - also known as the Euphemism Treadmill. People don't want to say certain things from sensitivity, and substitute euphemisms that themselves then become pejoratives resulting in a new round of euphemisms. Good examples are blackamoor to negro to coloured to black to African-American in the US; or crippled to disabled to handicapped to the weird modern handi-capable. Even the word Death started as a euphemism for steorfan; which today survives in the form of starve or starve to death only in English; with death originally meaning something like giving up the ghost.

Very silly indeed.
