  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

In the debate forums some of the TE's have actually come out and said, what we knew they believed all along, that God is a God of death, destruction, disease, pain, and sorrow.

This alone, shows the true stance of an individual. They credit God with the works of Satan. They further suggest that before sin entered the world, God thought it was very good that death, disease, destruction, pain and sorrow be apart of His creation and subjected to the life of mankind before they had sinned.

They are presenting a very dangerous theological teaching to non-believers out there. That our God who gives Life and Love is really a god of death, pain and sorrow.

We know God is God of life by what the Bible says:

John 6:33
" For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."

John 17:3
" Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent."

Acts 3:15
" You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this."

Romans 4:17
" As it is written: "I have made you a father of many nations." He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were."

1 Timothy 6:13
" In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you"

James 1:12
" Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him."

God is NOT a God of death. God is NOT a God of pain. God is NOT a God of sorrow.

Death is the enemy of God, to say death is apart of God's original plan and intent for mankind, is to say God is divided against Himself. For Paul says:

1 Corinthians 15:36
" The last enemy to be destroyed is death."

Jesus tells us that Satan does not divide against himself, why should we think God would divide against Himself?

Matthew 12:26
" If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?"
How can the Kingdom of God stand when God is divided against Himself? Is God both the God of Life and of Death, that He originally intended for mankind to die, feel pain, and live in sorrow, before man had even sinned or knew what evil was?

There must be a distinction made. God allows death, as we know it today, because mankind brought death into this world as result of his sin.

Genesis 3:19
"... for dust you are and to dust you will return."

There are people who came out of the Christian Church, taught the same lessons the Church was taught, yet Satan comes and takes away that Word that was sown in them. He then teaches them contrary Scripture, such as God is a God of death, pain and sorrow.

Mark 4:15

" Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them."

Satan isn't as clear as many here want you to believe. Satan has deceived many who said they couldn't be deceived. Paul was deceived by Satan, and he is considered one of the greatest Apostles. For Satan can masquerade as if he is an angel of light, when he actually is bringing the darkness with him.

2 Corinthians 11:14
" And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light."

I bring this up, because this is the root of many/some theistic evolutionists here on this forum. They have already proclaimed that God is a God of death. And reconcile this with Scripture that says His ways are higher than ours. They attribute the work of Satan to God.

How dare anyone, especially one who calls themselves a Christian, claim Satans work as Gods. How dare they preach to those who don't know God, that God is a God of death, despair, sorrow and pain. All to uphold evolution.

I am asking you, the beloved body of Christ, to not sit silent, to not hold your tongue, when they blaspheme our God. Hold steadfast to the Word of God, and test my words here against it. For I proclaim God as the God of Life - eternal Life, the Life giver - not a God of death, pain and sorrow. For God is a God of joy, and Love. Not despair and sadness, for that is what death brings.

Evil brings death and pain so that our hope is lost. Jesus Christ is our hope, our Truth, our Life, and the Only Way. Satan wants us to believe Jesus originally want us to see death, feel pain, experience sorrow, before sin entered the world. Satan will always counter Scripture with the opposite and present it in an extremely subtle way so that it passes under the radar. Don't be fooled, by this call to unity, when they want you to accept a god of death, a god of pain, a god of sorrow.

Do not sit quiet while many are lead astray. For Jesus called us to the light, to preach that which is good, to tell of His testimony. His death brought us the Life which we lost because of our sin. His death didn't bring us death that we originally had before the fall of mankind.

We are the light of world, let our voices be heard so our light will be seen. For when we become quiet and complacent, darkness will come and consume those who stopped watching.

We are the salt of the earth, tell of the Good News, the God that gives Life, by His own death so that we don't have to experience it. For He will raise us in the last day, and we will live with Him eternally.

God's Spirit moves in those who accept His teachings.

hebrews 2:14Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;15And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.16For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
17Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

There is a famous essay called Nothing Makes Sense Except in Light of Evolution. One of the things he claims is that to say, God created so many species only to make most of them extinct is blasphemy. Currently, I am in a PM exchage with a TE who thinks I take Genesis too literally but the fact is New Testament theology makes no sense except in the light of creation. I'm told that you don't read Mark 1 and Genesis 1 the same but how about John 1 and Genesis 1?

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light." (Gen. 1:1-3)

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." (John 1:1-5)

If being scientificlly minded means polluting my theology, who needs it? The Word of God, the power of the Holy Spirit and the kindness of believers changed my life. The mockery and scoffing of evolutionary apologists insults my intelligence and tramples the sacred truth of Scripture under their feet like a herd of swine. I am supposed to force my theology to fit into the world's arguments of science falsely so called? No thanks, theology has its rules as well as natural science.

Grace and peace,
Mark
