Well, many have over history, including the River Thames, various lakes and even seas.

As if these are broad waters & what sea's have frozen over ? The only seas I know of is Antarctica & the Arctic.

Below is a map showing where their base called "Little America" was located on the Ross ice shelf. The edge of the continent there is close to the South Pole whereas the bulk of Antarctica extends the other side of the South Pole. That is the unexplored territory Admiral Byrd is referring to, because apart from where their base was established which was relatively close to the South Pole, allowing them to fly to the South Pole and back, the rest of the operation only surveyed the coastline. They never explored deeper into Antarctica.

Admiral Byrd also refers to Antarctica in the interview as the "bottom of the world", so he clearly understands the Earth to be a globe.

I know this, but you'd think today there would have been some article that would tell us about this undiscovered land the size of America.

What I am asking for is a quote from Byrd (or anybody involved in Operation High jump) that reports finding an ice wall surrounding Antarctica.

You can see Antarctica on Google Earth, but it often appears as a blurry, featureless white expanse or has large blurred sections, mainly due to the technical challenges of projecting a spherical pole onto a flat map (Mercator projection issues), the lack of distinct features for satellite contrast (just ice!), and the complexity of acquiring and processing consistent polar imagery, leading to artifacts and intentional obfuscation of very large, indistinct areas like the "14-Mile Blur".

It looks pretty good to me. You should not expect “Google Street View.” Even my home and farm are blurry on Google Maps. I think they are hiding my barn from the Russians.
