Yes. You never just isolate one verse as an island. The surrounding verses provide some context to what the author’s intention is and what type of writing it is.This is not 1 Chronicles 16:30 is it ?
When there are thousands of people saying the same thing and a couple of people saying stuff that doesn't even make sense - I'll go with the majority. And just because you believe every thing you read doesn't mean it's true.
That’s a lack of critical thinking on your part. “I will never accept” is a statement of a closed mind.I will never except that the earth orbits the sun.
1 Chronicles 16:30 is part of 1 Chronicles 16. Therefore, to understand it, you need to read it in context. This is not 1 Chronicles 16:30 is it ?
If you’re not, then you will make the effort to understand why the sun going down below the horizon while maintaining its size completely contradicts flat earth claims.
1 Chronicles 16:30 is part of 1 Chronicles 16. Therefore, to understand it, you need to read it in context.
Please learn to read the Bible.
Explain perspective please. How is it that the sun goes down below the horizon when it allegedly doesn’t?It's still a matter of perspective no matter how the sun sets, large or small, it all boils down to perspective.
When it gone & night falls the sun hasn't gone anywhere it's just traveled too another location for their sunrise.
“Tremble before Him, all the earth; Indeed, the world is firmly established, it will not be moved. Let the heavens be joyful, and the earth rejoice; And let them say among the nations, “The Lord reigns.” Let the sea roar, and everything it contains; Let the field rejoice, and everything that is in it. Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy in the presence of the Lord; For He is coming to judge the earth.”Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved. What's not to understand ?
If your answer to these questions is just “perspective” then you haven’t clue what you are talking about!
No you don’t. If you did you would be able to give an explanation of how perspective is doing this.Yes my answer is still perspective & I do know what I'm talking about.
Well you don't seem to have understood that Asaph, and others, were praising God - singing a hymn/prayer of praise, which uses poetic language and not literal, scientific detail. (These verses are the same as the first half of Psalm 105, by the way.)Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved. What's not to understand ?
You don't; a) because you "can't get your head around science" and b) because you keep asking questions like "where does the sun go when it sets?" and "if the earth is a ball, how come the oceans don't fall off?"I do know what I'm talking about.
If the sun was a flat parallel disk when directly overhead, then it would become a flattened ellipse a little after sunrise and a little before sunset. It would appear to change in both size and shape as it passed from East to West. The sun is hottest when it is directly over head showing that the sun is a flat parallel disk moving over and above the earth. Because as one is moved away from the center of the disk the temperature becomes less as will the light.
What do think the Prophet Isaiah means when he says "the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands"? Do mountains have mouths and lungs to sing and do trees have hands, or is the inspired prophet somehow wrong?Going back to the psalm it says nothing under 'heaven' is hid from the heat of the sun.
What do you all think that means? Nothing in 'outer-space' is hid from the heat of the sun, or nothing under the sky is hid from its heat? Or was the inspired psalmist somehow wrong?
The 24 hour Summer sun in Antarctica destroys that bit of nonsense.That's because;
Sorry the forum wont let link to an article
So how do you get a 24 hour Sun in Antarctica during Summer with your flat earth model?Because the sun moves over the earth in a somewhat circular path and also either moving to the Tropic of Cancer arctic side of the equator or to the Tropic of Capricorn Antarctica side of the equator. That is why we have summer, fall, winter and spring and back to summer. That is also why southern states are hotter than states in the north.
Because once the sun reaches either tropic it begins its journey back to the other tropic.
Psalm 105 is quoted in 1 Chronicles 16. Did you not know this? This is not 1 Chronicles 16:30 is it ?
Because you put your fallible interpretation of Scripture over objective truth.I will never except that the earth orbits the sun.
This is easily proven false. We have done so several times on these threads. It's still a matter of perspective no matter how the sun sets, large or small, it all boils down to perspective.
When it gone & night falls the sun hasn't gone anywhere it's just traveled too another location for their sunrise.
