  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

im sorry to change the subject but i read/ saw in the paper today, i think it was the evening times, the proposed projects or buildings various architects/ designers have created for st george square

this isnt the first time ive heard about this idea of creating various cafe or new multipurpose building in the square but seeing the computer generated previews in the paper which you can vote on, which you think is the best, has brought it too scarily real for me and i was wondering if anyone else think st george square should be left as it is ?

i dont visit there often but when i do its always busy and obviously alot of people like it the way it is too !

by all means maybe provide more seating, as if there isnt enough already, but there maybe could be some parasol sitting for the hot sunny weather in the summer, as i said i dont go there often but when i do its with a sandwich from greggs on the square and last time a few weeks ago every other visitor was happily sitting there with a greggs sandwich too :D (either them or obriens who are just as good for the record if not better - sorry for advertising, im just trying to make a point), maybe alot a little area for various sandwich bars or cafes in the vicinity

we dont need anything new at st george square, its idyllic the way it is !

Hi and welcome  I might have run past your church the other day when I was doing me 10K - is it anywhere near Mosspark Boulevard?

Hi there. My church is down from the Boulevard, on Corkerhill Rd - probably the one you were thinking of.

How did you do in the 10k?

Well done! I used to do a lot of cross country distance running, but haven't done so for many years now.

I've had a really lovely warm & friendly welcome to this site. Nice to know that there are so many good people out there - the internet seems to be notorious for the more unsavoury kind of stuff that it so often gets used for.
