CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Being a naughty girl tomorrow and skipping church to take my daughter to the Gymnastics Grand Prix at the Kelvinhall. Supposedly world-class and Olympic athletes competing....we`ll see..........

Actually it was pretty cool. There were a lot of Olympic medal winners competing, and the whole thing was at quite a high level - don`t know if any of you saw it on BBC2 this aftie? But I have to say that gymnastics is probably one of the few sports best watched on telly - too much faffing around in between events and competitors 
- at least on TV they can fill the boring bits with extras.

its just a shame there isnt a bonfire usually... but the attractions make up for that!

We usually go to the fireworks display at Hillhead Rugby Club in Hughenden, but we`ll stand outside and watch this year - paid £15 for the family last year and it was mince! So we`ll stand outside with the clever people and watch free mince!

Theres a skate park near Queens Park isnt there? You could just go to George Square, its big and flat... a nice wee place to skate about, and coming soon... ICE SKATING!!!
