CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

hi nvrbnunloved, it was very good thanks, got a full four days off work over christmas and new year, i cooked the turkey this year which went very well also

Ok Glaswegians, I need a bit of help here. I semi-recently moved to the UK, and find myself in need of a dentist, but I can't figure out how to go about it. Do I see my regular doctor and have her refer me somewhere, show up at a dentist's office and ask them to take me on, or what? Oh, and does anyone around here know any nice, gentle dentists who won't yell at me for avoiding their colleagues for the last 7 years or so?

Hmmm - dunno....I asked friends when we moved to this area of Glasgow - asked them for recommendations of good local dentists. I really wanted someone who would be good with kids, so I asked other mums in the playground. It also depends if you want a dentist who does NHS treatment or just private. I never thought of asking my GP though -that might be a good idea...
