CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi! For everyone in the Glasgow area there is an event on in Borders bookshop on Buchanan street this thursday at 6.30pm which you might be interested in.
Rev. David Robertson of St Peter's Free Church in Dundee is holding a talk on his book The Dawkins Letters and will be answering questions afterwards.
I've seen on the forum of Dawkins' website that there are several of his fanclub going to be in attendance. It would be great to see you along there, and if you can't make it please pray for David as he seeks to give an intelligent reasoned defense of Christianity against a lot of the atheist myths going around about Christianity.

I was there, but not running this year. My 12 year old daughter did it though. That hill at the start looked like a killer!Was anyone taking part in the Race for Life today. I did with some friends from work - and lived to tell the tale
