There is a garden there unknown
Where trees and flowers grow in bloom
And breezes, like in Eden, blows
Bringing forth a sweet perfume
And in this garden by a brook
Beneath the shadows of the trees
Lays open the Holy Book
Just there – where no one sees
In here my peaceful refuge I
Can pray in solitude
Where time, as in a dream, goes by
And flow’rs, and trees and earth attuned
In songs of praise and gratitude
Where I can gain again my strength
And pray to GOD my Father
Before refreshed, I leave at length
A stronger, faithful daughter.
