  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

An ufo is an unidentified flying object, so in theory every object in the sky could be a UFO. However most of them have been identified.

Plus most people do not understand many aspects of aerospace engineering, just because you dont understand it doesnt mean it uses alien technology. Just look at the sacks a6 from ww2, if people had ever seen if flying they would have described it as a classic ufo, slow hovering look and a disk shape.

I think everybody knows how it goes up...
Isn't it?...
The important is to know the same electromagnetic force of the electric engines...
Also it is used from some illusionist to goes up a lady who sleeps...on a bed

What do you think about ufo history?
Has it been science..?

I agree at 99%!
Note.
Scientifically it's wrong if scientists don't use this technology to land on the moon...
It seems to me it's the best way to land on the moon or mercury...

In order for a helicopter sized object to actually lift up using electromagnetism, it would have to use insane amounts of energy, it is simply not viable. Although good point, according to Flemings rules on magnetic fields given enough current theoretically it could be possible

Hi,
I think that calculation is this:
(F=)iLB=mg
i=mg/(LB) E=R * i^2 * Time
L can be a great value, calculate for L=1000 m. ...

Example:
m=400 kg, L=1000 m. , B=1 T.(good permanent magnet),Time=1000 sec.
i=4 A. E= R * 16 * 1000 J. = R * 16 Kj ...

Can it be right?..

I think that's all right!
It's sufficient an electrical wire with a tickness of 5 mm2...
It would be interesting to know its load resistance...

Are you wanting something with EHD like an ionocraft:

Tesla imagined such a device. To solve the energy problem, tesla foresaw charging the Kennelly-Heaviside layer from a multitude of bases stations (which is theoretically possible but there could be sever consequences in nature). Energy could then be drawn to to any point on the earth at any time, sort of like a reduced lightning bolt that could be aimed. This would provide vast amounts of energy to every corner of the earth.

possibly something like:

F=Id/k

F and I are obvious, K is ions coefficient through the fluid , and d is the gap of air between the layers of conducting material. For every watt, it should theoretically be able to lift about a gram, although this depends on several other factors such as the air gap and materials used.

To make a untethered craft capable of lifting any significant amount of weight would prove extremely difficult. Plus, when working with charges of that size, any person in the general area could suffer a fatal shock.

Maybe if you used a superconductor, which would still have to be cooled to 140k while in mid air, an ionocraft would prove useful for lifting larger loads but that could require some serious scientific and engineering effort.
