What about Revelation 22:18? If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book.

If the two witnesses declare what the thunders uttered they have added to the book. That would mean the two witnesses have to experience all the plagues, which would mean the last plague happens prior to their dead bodies lying in the great city, which happens during the second woe according to Revelation 11.

This problem is solved if the thunders are Satan. The seal is put on Satan in Revelation 20:3 and there is no specific declaration of that seal being removed, only that Satan is loosed. This would allow what the thunders uttered to never be known.

If someone were to say they know what the thunders said by only looking at the scriptures they might have a case for avoiding the Revelation 22:18 issue but otherwise it would seem that the person or persons that declared what the thunders said will also endure all of the plagues.

I would say that the seven thunders were not the voice of God as it seems that John thought that they were from God but told not to write because they were not the voice of God

For once I agree with you, partly at least.

Thanks for your input on this, the thing that prevents me from fully embracing the thunders being satanic is verses such as

Revelation 14:2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps

Revelation 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

In these verses thundering voices are not satanic, in fact I can’t find any verses where thundering voices are directly shown as being satanic. However we have Revelation 17:15 where the harlot is said to be sitting on waters (people, multitudes, nations, and tongues). Revelation 17:3 says the woman sits on a beast with seven heads. So based on this someone could argue that at this point in time the voice of the waters would be the voice of the beast.

What do you think about the seven thunders being sealed and a seal being put on Satan in Revelation 20:3, could they be they be one and the same?

I see that point.

But I can't say that I agrees, for seven in Revelation seems to refer to Rome. Seven hills, seven heads seven thunders. I would say that the seven thunders came from the seven hills, Rome the last kingdom. No Protestant church taught dispensationalism 200 years ago.

I am sorry to disagree with the futurists which is a relatively modern interpretation and we know what Paul says to Timothy about teachings that come in the last days.

I agree that the seventieth week is 7 years long. It is the seven years ministry of Jesus to the Jews. First ½ year in person during His earthly ministry when he confirmed new covenant with many. He was cut off in the midst of the week but following Pentecost indirectly by The Holy Spirit, until the gospel was opened to the gentiles when Cornelius and his household were converted. To read Antichrist into Dan 9 is the same as when the Jews said Jesus had a devil and was os Satan. Repent.

David, think about what you are saying. You are saying the 70 weeks of Daniel 9 culminated with the conversion of Cornelius and his household. Who has heard of Cornelius? Whereas the 70 weeks are determined upon Daniel's people and Jerusalem.

No, the 70 weeks end with all of the awesome and far reaching prophecies of the end times, and the high point being the greatest event of all times - Jesus's Return.

It is degrading to the Glory of the Lord, and God's mystery which he has declared to his servants the prophets - what you are saying.

Think what you are saying. The seventieth week was the ministry to the JEWS. The conversion of the Gentiles was at or more correctly after the end of the seventeenth week. Beway af any teaching on any prophecy where writers imagine a gap. I follow the teaching of the early church, the true Church throughout the ages till today. That is that the prophecies in scripture give a true account of history from the beginning of Genesis till the return of the Lord.

(On The Significance of AD70 ) Philip Mauro
“It is greatly to be regretted that those who, in our day, give themselves to the study and exposition of prophecy, seem not to be aware of the immense significance of the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70, which was accompanied by the extinction of Jewish national existence, and the dispersion of the Jewish people among all the nations. The failure to recognize the significance of that event, and the vast amount of prophecy which it fulfilled, has been the cause of great confusion, for the necessary consequence of missing the past fulfillment of predicted events is to leave on our hands a mass of prophecies for which we must needs contrive fulfillments in the future. The harmful results are two fold; for first, we are thus deprived of the evidential value, and the support to the faith, of those remarkable fulfillments of prophecy which are so clearly presented to us in authentic contemporary histories; and second,
