It is wrong if they are being targeted. It is immeasurably sad if they are collateral.
Are the Christians being targeted or are they collateral in the war against Hamas? Put it another way. If a terrorist organization in your city went out and slaughtered innocent civilians in the most gratuitous way and then hid among your family, what action would you take? Would you flee? Would you fight? What would you do? If it were happening here, I wouldn't be alive to be typing this. I would die trying to protect my family. And this is the terrible thing about what is going on there.
Their testimony is not a peaceful life. Their testimony, and ours, is a witness to the name of Jesus and obedience to His commands.
Are your Arab Christian brothers and sisters God's people?
How are they provoking God?
They are my brothers and sisters. They are not provoking God. You cannot tolerate the evil among them and still seek peace. God is uprooting Hamas, who hides among innocent people and throws them in front of artillery and bullets as human shields. They had all the opportunities in the world to be a blessing to the people, but their hatred for the Jews consumed them. They cannot run from God's judgment.
Is it wrong that there have been Christians living in Palestine for the last two thousand years? These are Christians who have been living there since the days of the Apostles. The history of Palestinians as a people is a long complicated history involving a cosmopolitan people who have been affected by two thousand years of having different powers in control. But they have been practicing the faith, believing in the Savior, from the very beginning. This is literally the OLDEST community of Christians on the planet.
The Jews aren't targeting Palestinian Christians. They even gave territory they won in war BACK to the Palestinians to have peace. Israel has made it clear MANY times that they want peace with their neighbors. There are people in those lands that hate Jews and will take any measure necessary to destroy them. How can you see this and not recognize what is going on?!
By all means, please be zealous for our brothers and sisters. But don't gloss over the wickedness of the militants there. This issue MUST be dealt with.
What have they done wrong? Breathe? Be born? Not give up their ancestral home to an invading occupying force?
Nothing. I feel like you are willingly overlooking things and avoiding my points. Why? What do you have against the Jews?
Why are you bringing up "Islamists"? First of all, the term is Muslim, not Islamist. But I haven't mentioned Muslims--I mentioned Christians. I mentioned your brothers and sisters.
My distinction is deliberate. Muslims follow Allah. Islamists seek to convert (forcefully if needed) all people to Islam. If you don't correct this misunderstanding, it will convince me that your agenda is antisemitic and has nothing to do with justice.
Do you condemn the unjust murder of your Christian brothers and sisters? Yes or no?
-CryptoLutheran
It's not murder if it's not deliberate. Your wording shows your agenda like a neon sign. You have YET to talk about what Hamas, Hezbollah, and Al Qassams Brigade have been doing all this time.
As for me, I trust in the Word and promises of God. He said these things would happen. So why are you taking this up against Jews instead of taking it up with Him?
