What came first was man, the animal. Or "Natural Man". Adam was the first Natural-Man to have a Spirit. So he was the first Child-0f-God which natural men are not children of God.
Adam was the first natural-man to get the Holy Spirit. The First man to have Life. God has always focused on Man with Spirit and no men or animals that do not have spirit. Adam was the first to have life, and the first man to die as well.
God is only concerned about Spiritual death. Animal-death has never counted and is not even considered death in God's eyes. When Jesus fed fish to the crowds, he didn't mourn over the death of the fish. Fish never had life to begin with. Death without Spirit is nothing to morn.
When people die with no Spirit, it means nothing to God. They were never alive to start with.
