The Firmament

Hello to all those who sincerely believe in a flat earth.
I understand you have reasons for believing the earth is flat, and I understand that one of those reasons is distrust in some mainstream "science" presented by scientists.

I just want to ask a few questions about the firmament, to understand your views on these.

1. If I understand correctly, the firmament is a solid barrier. Is my understanding correct?
2. Is the sun moon and stars in the firmament, or outside?
3. The birds would not be able to fly in the firmament, but beneath. Is that correct?
4. Do you believe the firmament is thick, as hundreds of feet from top to bottom, or somewhat thin?
5. The sun's heat is said to be, at its core, around 27 million degrees Fahrenheit (15 million degrees Celsius), while the surface is about 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit (5,500 degrees Celsius). More than likely you do not agree, but do you have an estimate, and can the temperature be detected and measured by scientists?

Those are my question for now.

How do you understand Genesis 1:6, 7, in relation to this?

Is there any reason you think scientist would not be able to measure the temperature of the sun?

IMO the firmament is like a bubble that surrounds the earth which inside it is set with the stars, moon & the sun & there are waters above it & around. it So there can be no such thing as space.The firmament is made of a sorta of Silica.

So you don't believe the waters of the flood came from above the firmament, but rather, the water vapor, below the firmament. I believe I am correct?

Based on the view that the sky is like Silica, have you heard anyone explain why the color of sunrise, and sunset skies are from yellow, to orange, to red orange, to purple?

This appears to be how the light is behaving against the water particles (vapor) and dust particle. Is that your view?

What about the shape of the sun and moon... do you see them as disk shaped, or spherical?

The firmament is cool. Wish we had a good TV show or Movie about people that found out there was no deep space to leave to. It would perhaps make them care about the world they live on more. lol

The Bible. Genesis 7:11 ...all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.

Thanks. The surface of space is not the same as the expanse. One is the entire atmosphere making up heaven, where the birds fly, and one is the surface of it - meaning the uppermost layer.
So, are you saying heaven is the firmament, and the sky is what?

I don't understand.
You are not saying the firmament begins after the exosphere. So, you must mean the atmosphere ends before the exosphere begins, right?
