Hello to all those who sincerely believe in a flat earth.
I understand you have reasons for believing the earth is flat, and I understand that one of those reasons is distrust in some mainstream "science" presented by scientists.

I just want to ask a few questions about the firmament, to understand your views on these.
  1. If I understand correctly, the firmament is a solid barrier. Is my understanding correct?
  2. Is the sun moon and stars in the firmament, or outside?
  3. The birds would not be able to fly in the firmament, but beneath. Is that correct?
  4. Do you believe the firmament is thick, as hundreds of feet from top to bottom, or somewhat thin?
  5. The sun's heat is said to be, at its core, around 27 million degrees Fahrenheit (15 million degrees Celsius), while the surface is about 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit (5,500 degrees Celsius). More than likely you do not agree, but do you have an estimate, and can the temperature be detected and measured by scientists?
Those are my question for now.
Thank you for any response to these.

Thanks Apple.
I asked if ou believe the firmament is a solid barrier, because I wanted to know if you believe the waters above the expanse were used in the flood. So, you do not believe that, since the waters could not penetrate the firmament. Is that correct?
How do you understand Genesis 1:6, 7, in relation to this?

The firmament being thin, and the sun moon and stars being in the firmament... do you see the sun and moon as somewhat a flat disk?

Is there any reason you think scientist would not be able to measure the temperature of the sun?
Thanks.

IMO the firmament is like a bubble that surrounds the earth which inside it is set with the stars, moon & the sun & there are waters above it & around. it So there can be no such thing as space. The firmament is made of a sorta of Silica.

Okay, thank you. This is interesting.
So you don't believe the waters of the flood came from above the firmament, but rather, the water vapor, below the firmament. I believe I am correct?

Based on the view that the sky is like Silica, have you heard anyone explain why the color of sunrise, and sunset skies are from yellow, to orange, to red orange, to purple?

Sunset_Marina.JPG

sunrise0610.jpg

This appears to be how the light is behaving against the water particles (vapor) and dust particle. Is that your view?

What about the shape of the sun and moon... do you see them as disk shaped, or spherical?
Thanks.

I believe what it says in Bible that flood gates of heaven were opened up & the fountains of the deep burst forth. Look up ringwoodite

No

Would that be the firmament? The firmament refers to heaven.

Look up ringwoodite
That is in rock. You don't believe rock is in the heavens... Or are you thinking that the firmament holds this ringwoodite, and released it, during the flood?

Thanks. I may have more to ask on this.

Ringwoodite is rock that holds water so much so that earth has a vast interior ocean, ringwoodite is found underground, is this how the fountains of the deep burst forth ?

Not sure.

Weren't we talking about about the waters above, and the firmament?

The Bible. Genesis 7:11 ...all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.

Not sure.
The Bible. Genesis 1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven / sky.

So, are you saying heaven is the firmament, and the sky is what?

The sky, on another note if there were no barrier between the sky & space we'd all get sucked up like so;

How is the sky determine? In other words, what is it?

No, the sun, moon and the stars are in the firmament.

It is our atmosphere the air that we breath, surely you know this already.

No, the sun, moon and the stars are in the firmament.
I'm confused.
Did you not agree that the firmament is heaven?

I understand our atmosphere to be the expanse - heaven. There is the lower heaven; mid heaven; heaven above. Not the heavens of the heavens.

You evidently have a different understanding, so I am trying to get to know how you see it. So, please bare with me. :) I'm not cross examining. Just trying to get the picture.
Okay, so sky is the atmosphere below the firmament, which would be the troposphere, and stratosphere.

Is that correct. Thanks.

where the atmosphere meets space would be the firmament. Some say the firmament is about 80 to a 100 miles high if not more.

I don't understand.
You are not saying the firmament begins after the exosphere. So, you must mean the atmosphere ends before the exosphere begins, right?
