  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You are quoting blogs now? WOW WOW WOW, you are really scraping the bottom of the barrel. At last I quote respected magazines. Billy Bob and Grandma may have your respect but they are not very authoritative in a discussion. Could you at least try to quote a source that has an editor?

You don't even do any research on your 'quotes'. You just read what you want in to the source and then just post it without a second thought.

Martin Luther, founder of Protestantism, wrote about Jews. His writings were often quoted by Hitler as he persuaded German Christians to kill Jews:
First to set fire to their synagogues or schools and to bury and cover with dirt whatever will not burn, so that no man will ever again see a stone or cinder of them. This is to be done in honor of our Lord and of Christendom, so that God might see that we are Christians, and do not condone or knowingly tolerate such public lying, cursing, and blaspheming of his Son and of his Christians.

This is why the name of the tread is the Final Solution. Germany had what they perceived to be a long standing problem and now they had arrived at a solution to the problem. One that they perhaps felt was humane.

For the record I had no real plans of any direction to go in with this topic. I am just going along with the evolutionists and the direction that they seem to want to go in. It did not really matter to me what aspect of this topic we discussed. I am still open to looking into this so called final solution in any way anyone may want to have a discussion about it.

I don't find that convincing.

Yes, I don't have time to read the whole thing. I just pick what I want and need as long as it is a quotable source. Like a respected magazine, news paper or a respected university, Harvard or something like that. There is no use quoting someone that is not respected by both sides of the issue. I could use Talk Origin as a source if I wanted to. I love to get people to argue against themselves that way. But I try not to do that very much because your expected to list your source along with the quote you get from them.

For example there is a LOT on this page at Talk Origin that just about everyone would disagree with:

Most creationists try to hide the fact they quote mine.

I don't think he realizes what he just admitted.

Watch for the back peddle.

Looking forward to what mental gymnastics he tries to pull.
Although I will admit that I'd have a bit of respect for him if he admitted that he did intentionally quote-mine.

Nonsense (or worse). You constantly tried to tie Hitler's killing of the Jews to Evolution. Just from the 1st page of this thread...
5 Which all goes to show that Darwin's theory is very questionable.

13 It has a lot of bearing as to how much the theory of evolution is true and how much it is error. Although the topic is "the final solution". The theory of evolution was a part of that.

15 The "final solution" has a LOT to do with evolution. They wiped out millions of people of our species. … It was a part of Darwin's theory of natural selection.
In reality it has been shown that Hitler was a Creationist believing Christian, like yourself. Furthermore, he used the teachings of Martin Luther to inflame Christians to murder Jews.

Poll - Will joshua admit that, as always, his arguments are baseless (except in his own mind)?

Hitler to some degree had the support of Christians and Catholics. He could not have gotten elected without their support. He did manage to deceive them but that does not make him a creationist Christian. The fact that you think Martin Luther: "inflame Christians to murder Jews" just adds to the fact that Darwin incited racism and the false sense of superiority that inflamed the Nazi regime. So your claim not only does not help your case, by your admission it shows how Darwin's theory "inflame" many different groups toward racism.

So one guy was antisemitic. By being antisemitic that makes him not antisemitic and somebody else a racist. That makes sense.

If he was it was a counterfeit creationism. Of course I would not expect atheists to know the difference between what is real and what is fake. In his book Hitler said: "Nature concentrates its greatest attention, not to the maintenance of what already exists but on the selective breeding of offspring in order to carry on the species". His use of the term selective breeding would lead me to believe he was a evolutionist, not so much a creationist.

Martin Luther was a German. Does that not make him antisemitic by definition? Hitler was German, the Final Solution was the solution that Germans came up with for what they perceived to be a problem.

Whatever "mental gymnastics" it takes to continue to win a debate even though it is five against one.

Although I will admit that I'd have a bit of respect for him if he admitted that he did intentionally quote-mine.
Can not really do that here because you have to give the link for your quote. So people can look to check it out for themselves.

So now you're disparaging an entire country of people by calling them antisemitic? Fantastic.

I do the same thing everyone else here does. Go to a web site that has already done the research. Only difference is I use reputable web sites like Newsweek or Harvard University. Where the Evolutionists will drop their standard down so far as to accept anything they can find from anyone anywhere. I do not use a source that is unacceptable to evolutionists. Because science contradicts itself so much then I can just play evolutionists against themselves.
