LESSON: The parables mentioned here are all about the same thing: the deep desire of the Father's heart for all of humanity, regardless of race, religion, or belief system. He yearns for the salvation of humanity from the destructive path we have chosen through the use of our free will. As illustrated in the parable of the prodigal son, God is not keeping our inheritance away from us: free will, intelligence, greatness, and the ability to produce, multiply, and replenish, etc. All these are available to mankind. That is why you don't have to believe in the Lord Jesus to manifest any of them. You only need to be focused and hardworking. Our abilities, gifts, and inheritances are all blessings from God. However, it is important that we submit these blessings to God the Father and trust Him with them. Our top priority should be seeking His kingdom, both in our personal lives and in the world around us. When we do this, God will cause these blessings to flourish in and through us. Then you will truly be a blessing! Sadly, the opposite of what is hoped for is the reality of human nature. Many of us, like the prodigal son, have taken the gifts and abilities we have been given and used them selfishly. In the process, we have denied or rejected God and become subservient to the devil. However, no matter how vile we may become, the Father's heart remains open to us, waiting for us to come to our senses and return to Him, just like the prodigal son did. You may say that your physical condition is not like the one in which the prodigal son found himself (poor, destitute, and unable to feed). Yes, but your spiritual condition (where it matters) is. The moment you make the decision to return, the Father and the host of heaven will rejoice over you. For the ninety-nine or the eldest son who never left, don't feel cheated or underserved. Always remember that everything belonging to the Father is already yours (verse 31). The Father, who is good and just, will not overlook you in favor of someone who squandered his inheritance on himself and pleasure. Because you never left or were wasteful but instead submitted everything to the Father while serving Him faithfully, your inheritance has actually multiplied far beyond what it was when the Father first divided it. "Then you will again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.” Malachi 3.18.

PRAYER: Father, help me to optimize my inheritance for your glory, and as many that are lost, may they come to their senses and return to your open and loving arms
