Deuteronomy 13:1-3 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, 2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; 3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

chalam = a primitive root; properly, to bind firmly, i.e. (by implication) to be (causatively to make) plump; also (through the figurative sense of dumbness) to dream:--(cause to) dream(-er), be in good liking, recover.

Deuteronomy 13:13 [Certain] men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;

1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would [no doubt] have continued with us: but [they went out], that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

The term antichrist only occurs in 1 and 2nd John nowhere else in The Bible. And so does false prophet appear in 1st John in the same context as the term antichrist so false prophet/antichrist are one and the same to John.

So the unholy trinity is the dragon, the beast/king of the north and the anitchrist/false prophet

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

John the Apostle warned the people of GOD that the antichrist would come as a ruler, and revealed that the spirit of antichrist was spreading strongly in the churches, among the GOD's people. Many betrayers were spreading strongly and they became strong among GOD's people, the true believers no longer had a purely Christian environment within the churches.

When John says "They went out from us", at first it was spiritually, the physical consequences became after. Structurally strengthened, the betrayers began to persecute the true Christians /believers, they even killed the apostles. John the Apostle while still alive was much concerned with Satan's movement to corrupt and persecuting the Churches. By the way, the primitive Church of Rome became the headquarter of antichrist, as said John: "If they had been of us, they would have continued with us". By the words of the beloved Apostle John we can say that the Church of Rome, so beloved of the Apostle Paul, author of the Epistle to the Romans, yeah, we can say that the Church of Rome was, and is, the birthplace, the cradle, of Antichrist.

Odd how things just click, as though the light bulb just came on... when all along I thought I was already standing in a well-lit place. Now I know what antichrist really means. Because it's not just thinking Jesus wasn't truly human and capable of sin. Going after strange gods, is like listening to the strange woman in Proverbs. Kinda makes Mystery Babylon that strange woman, doesn't it? But having just today come to the OP conclusion, I'm not done thinking about it.

Paul's man of sin is Revelation's false prophet:

Rev 13:13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
Rev 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

Revelation 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received
the mark of the beast
, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Here we read of the second beast, who performed miracles in the sight of the first beast and performing those miracles in order to deceive the people!

Paul's Antichrist is called the man of sin and he is described as doing the same things for the same reason as the false prophet:

2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
2Th 2:5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
2Th 2:6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
2Th 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
2Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders

"Lying wonders" is the same as "deceiving miracles".

The false prophet and the man of sin are the same person, the Antichrist.

Another connection between them:

Rev 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

These horns are little horns of a young lamb which is a direct reference to the little horn Daniel wrote of who is also the one we know as the Antichrist.

lamb:

G721
arnion
ar-nee'-on
Diminutive from G704; a lambkin: - lamb.
Total KJV occurrences: 30

The little horn of Daniel is commonly believed to be the antichrist John wrote about and in Revelation there is a person with two little horns who appears after the ten horned beast just as the little horn in Daniel appears after the ten horned beast. Clearly the same person is in mind here.

Daniel - ten horned beast arises, little horn comes next and is the person of authority and power over the ten horned beast. Little horn is the antichrist.

Revelation - ten horned beast arises, false prophet comes next and is the person of authority and power over the ten horned beast. False prophet is the antichrist.

Rev 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
Rev 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.,
Rev 13:13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
Rev 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
Rev 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Not only does the second beast exercise ALL of the power of the first beast, he is the only one performing miracles by which he not the first beast deceived the world. He is the one who commands an image of the first beast to be made and causes it to come alive because of his tremendous God-like powers. He also decides who will be killed. He makes people receive the mark and that controls who can buy and sell.

Clearly the second beast is the primary ruler and highest authority.

Jesus was both the Christ and a prophet. The Antichrist will also be both christ and prophet but will be a liar on both accounts. John wrote about an Antichrist that would come. In Revelation he uses a different terminology for this same person calling him a false prophet but he is the same person he called the Antichrist. This person has many names in scripture.

The ten horned kingdom is not the AC in either book. The AC is always the one who comes AFTER the ten horned beast.

Same ten horned beast in both books and it is always a large Empire composed of Kings and kingdoms with 1 singular person ruling over it all and that person is the same person in both books called the little horn and false prophet.

If there is no Antichrist here, "Daniel - ten horned beast arises." then it is the same for Revelation.
No Antichrist in this ten horned beast either, "Revelation - ten horned beast arises"

The Antichrist is always the singular person that is introduced after the ten horned beast:

Daniel - ten horned beast arises, little horn
Revelation - ten horned beast arises, false prophet

Same order of introduction. Neither book uses the term "Antichrist" but he is mentioned nonetheless.

The names of the one we normally call the Antichrist:

1st and 2nd John -antichrist
2 Thessalonians -man of sin
2 Thessalonians -that Wicked
2 Thessalonians -the son of perdition
Daniel -little horn
Revelation -false prophet

Many names but he is still the same person.

Yes, and calling the person "the Antichrist" in that blanket fashion is a major error.

The person is the Antichrist only for the duration that he is in the office as the King of Israel.

At other times, he is not the Antichrist, but other functional roles.

And being the false prophet - is not one of them. Being the beast is his last functional role before being cast in to the lake of fire, along with the false prophet.

Dan 7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.

Is this the Antichrist?

The fourth beast in that verse is a kingdom. The little horn in the next verse, will be the 7th (Julio Claudian) king of the Roman Empire in the end times. Who eventually becomes the (first) beast in Revelation 13, the 8th (Julio Claudian) king of the Roman Empire.

Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

Revelaton 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

The person is not the "Antichrist" as either the 7th (Julio-Claudian) king or 8th (Julio Claudian) king of the Roman Empire.

He is the Antichrist only for the period of time he is the King of Israel - about three years or so. Cannot put an exact figure on it, because it does not say exactly when he goes into the temple, sits, claims to have achieved God-hood.

The little horn > becomes the prince who shall come > becomes the Antichrist > becomes the revealed

man of sin > becomes the beast.

I believe New Jerusalem is populated by faithful saints in heaven and on earth who are in Christ. I believe Babylon the Great is the antithesis of New Jerusalem.

New Jerusalem is called the holy city in Revelation 21:2, 10 & Revelation 22:19.
Babylon the Great is never referred to as the holy city.
Revelation 11:2 is talking about the holy city.
Revelation 11:8 is talking about a city that is spiritually called "Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified."

There's a lot more that has convinced me that the strange woman in Proverbs typifies the part of God's people who name the name of Christ but play the harlot (i.e Babylon the Great) and fall away from the true faith (2 Thessalonians 2). They will follow the false prophet, who will seat himself up in the only Tabernacle of God, which, following the verses talking about the tearing of the veil, is the only Tabernacle of God called in the Greek "naos" (the holy place or holy sanctuary), (i.e, the church).

Now, having done some thinking about your post...

The composite beast is made up from Persia which conquered Media, Babylon, Asia Minor and part (if not all) of Greece. I think that beast must have moved to Rome and laid down there.

https://www.whitehorsemedia.com › docs › the_lateran_treaty.pdf

You're right, it's not the Roman Empire, since that was the kingdom at Revelation-time.
But what came next was entirely different from the former kingdoms. Which can't be said of any of the places invaded by Persia. When the beast is said to come from the north, it crosses the Euphrates... so did Cyrus when he took Palestine.

History is a book still sealed with 7-seals.
But Revelation is wide open... for those who believe Jesus' parables.

There's a lot more that has convinced me that the strange woman in Proverbs typifies the part of God's people who name the name of Christ

Proverbs 5:3-5 For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil: But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword. Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.

People who name the name of Christ:

Matthew 7:22-23 Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
anomia = a + nomos, without law.
Matthew 7:26-27 And every one that heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Matthew 24:5 For many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Since no one can come in the name of a person that they're also claiming to be,
(George sent me, and I am George)
THIS must be the real reading: "come in My name, saying, I am anointed".

1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

About the phrase "Jesus Christ is come in the flesh" ... manifest?

The fourth beast in that verse is a kingdom.

Ok so you do not believe the 10 horned beast is the antichrist in this verse but...

Rev 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

But this ten horned beast is the antichrist? That is an inconsistent interpretation.

Neither verse speaks of the antichrist. The antichrist is ALWAYS the next singular person to be mentioned.

The little horn is the antichrist.
The false prophet is the antichrist.

It's the same things in both books.

Daniel 7:21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them ;

Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

If we compare some of this with the two beasts in Revelation 13, which beast does that ch indicate does the things I have underlined?

Revelation 13:6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

Revelation 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

What I have underlined in Revelation 13, is that meaning the 2nd beast, the false prophet?

And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God(Revelation 13:6)--- this matches---And he shall speak great words against the most High(Daniel 7:25)

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them(Revelation 13:7)----this matches---and shall wear out the saints of the most High(Daniel 7:25)----and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them(Daniel 7:21)

Revelation 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months(Revelation 13:5)----this matches---and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time(Daniel 7:25)

As to the 2nd beast in Revelation 13, the false prophet, I'm not seeing anywhere in the text involving verses 11-18 that match anything I have underlined in Daniel 7 at the top of this post. The only way I can see you being correct is if what I have underlined in Revelation 13, that it is the 2nd beast being the one doing those things.

No but remember the false prophet will exercise all the power of the first beast so he can order any of the ten horns/kings or their armies to do the killing. So it's the first beast doing things at the command of the second beast which matches what the little horn is said to accomplish.

I believe that the Antichrist will be the Islamic Mahdi, and the False prophet will be the Islamic version of "Jesus" Isa.
It fits to a T.
the False Prophet defers to the first beast
Isa prays behind the Mahdi
Jesus said that they will come in His name
Isa will claim to be Jesus, but deny that he is the Son of God, and he will say "There is only one God and Muhammad is his messenger" (2 horns like a lamb, speaks like a dragon)

1 John 2 and 1 John 4 express that this is the very spirit of Antichrist, to deny that Jesus is the Son of God, and that is a core tenet of Islam.

Furthermore, Islamic eschatology says that Jesus will break the cross and end the jizya tax. Breaking the cross means ending Christianity, and the Jizya tax is a tax paid by non muslims in Islamic nations to live safely there.

Why will the Jizya tax be ended by Isa?

Revelation 13

There will no longer be tolerance of any religions but Islam. That is why.

It is not just ten horns, but also seven heads.

The beast person in Revelation 13 is in verse 3.

3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

The one head is the little horn person.

That obviously doesn't match. Heads are mountains not people but if your way was right, there would have to be a small 8th head which there is not.

Lik4 I said and proved, the ten horned beast is never the antichrist in either Daniel or Revelation. The antichrist is always the next person to be mentioned in the texts.
