So, any country which conquers another is an Empire? By that definition, almost every country that ever existed is an Empire. The thing about America is that we voluntarily give a lot of our conquests back to the citizens thereof. The others have voted not to be independent.

Do you have examples of Rome, or Britain, or any other real Empire voluntarily giving independence to any conquered people?



And, to repeat my (obviously difficult) previous question, if America "falls", what will it be like? Anyone? Buehler?

Comprared to other countries, I think the Americans and British have been relatively good colonisers, please pay attention to my use of the word relative.

If they keep the conquered territory without annexing it or granting full rights to its citizens, yes.
