  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have two weeks until an important meeting that is vital to me living here and it seems the attacks are just coming more and more. My husband and I are fighting everyday he is impossible to talk to he gets defensive and angry in seconds.

I know it is the enemy trying to wreck this appointment so I really need some prayers to help us get through the next two weeks and that this appointment will go with Gods will for my life.

Faith, pray, pray, pray. Such attacks are not uncommon when significant and purposeful events in one's life draw close. I pray that the Lord will protect you and grant you special graces to avoid entering into conflict with your husband and to remain at peace. Amen.

I want to say thank you for the prayers, I feel strengthened, only 9 more days til the appointment. There are still problems here but I feel better at dealing with them, please keep us still in prayer and know that I pray for everyone who comes to this forum, prayer is such an important and powerful weapon.
