What are you folks having?
May the Lord of power give you grace to speak a word in season and use you to call out one of His sheep. May He open up the storehouse of His mercy and grace and pour out on that neighbor a bountiful blessing of saving faith. May the power of the Gospel be seen in you and in him.We had a great time tonight! An unbelieving neighbour stop by and had a sip as we discussed the Gospel. He always thought Christians were self righteous, pious, holier than thou people...he was interested in talking about Christ. The door is open for further discussion.
Glory to God,

From the point of view of a man who does not know Jesus, Christians who live as Christ would have them to live appear to be self righteous, pious, holier than thou people. After all, their free-from-sin lifestyle mightily convicts the sinner of his need of salvation, and some of these sinners hate Christians for it just like they hate everyone who is markedly different than they are. Other sinners, upon being convicted of their need of salvation—and seeing proof right in front of their eyes that salvation from sin is a genuine possibility—surrender their lives to Christ that they too may be saved from sin.We had a great time tonight! An unbelieving neighbour stop by and had a sip as we discussed the Gospel. He always thought Christians were self righteous, pious, holier than thou people...he was interested in talking about Christ. The door is open for further discussion.

And, if you ever make it to Kentucky, be sure to go on the Bourbon Trail, which has quite a few participating distilleries. Four Roses, Heaven's Hill, Jim Beam, Maker's Mark, Lexington Brewing and Distilling Company, Wild Turkey, Woodford Reserve (my personal favorite), and the Bulleit Frontier Whiskey Experience. This pub is named in honour of the Baptist Pastor Elijah Craig (1738/1743 – May 18, 1808) who, legend has it, invented Bourbon.
I never knew you were Canuck....
