A couple professors you might want to check out:

April D. DeConick

Robert H. Eisenman

Study hard and have fun.

Where to begin - your post is most interesting. For one - If we are to study Robert Eisenman we should not exclude Michael Wise. If we are considering misinformation and willing to study Robert Eisenman and Michael Wise - we will soon come to realize that the Dead Sea Scrolls were not left by Essens and that the community by the Dead Sea was not anciently called Qumran but Damascus. A simple fact avoided by most Western Trinitarian Christians.

If Paul studied the scriptures at Damascus (according to the Bible) and it was the Damascus by the Dead Sea - which is very likely because of reference to Roman law and the New Testament, then we have an extraordinary divine gift of the copy of the very scriptures used by Jesus and the apostles. Something very few theologians are even willing to consider. I have discussed these possibilities personally with Dr. Tom Newman a biblical archaeologicest.

Also there are Asian Christians - left out of your list of Christian types - as well as most Western Christians that believe they are the only Christians with roots dating back to the time of Jesus and the Apostles.

Sorry, I somehow missed your response.

Dr. Eisenman is one of the worlds leading active biblical archaeologist. He postulates that many of the scriptures were left at Q'umran by the James community when they were on the run from Saul. He backed his theory up by discovering and identifying a landmark that was written about in a primitive Christian letter. His theories are considered controversial by the Christian community, however, he has been able to successfully back up nearly every claim with rock solid evidence.

Dr. DeConick is the worlds leading authority on the "Gospel of Thomas" which represents the Asian Christians, who were Thomasine. She also has been able to back up her claims with fairly firm evidence.

Actually, the Protestant movement began in the 1500s...The Nicene Creed is theological junk--blasphemy in ink. The original Apostle's Creed is the only creed worth mentioning. It did not twist things to make the Son and the Holy Spirit seem to be what they are not. Only the Father can be righly called God. For only He is God. Any assertion to the contrary is blasphemous and absurd...

For those who believe that their salvation depends on believing that Jesus is god , or even the trinity doctrine, the nicene creed is comforting because it is so ecuminical and so old, it serves as a foundation for the doctrine that most find convincing. It is to them something solid to lean on for the validity of their doctrine. If one is going to believe that one's salvation depends on believing that Jesus is god, the nicene creed is about as good as it gets for verifying that foundational belief. To them it helps eliminate any doubt. It is for all practical purposes accepted unquestioningly just as scripture is. Not to me of course.

I have thought, that perhaps many christians would not be interested in following the Lord if there were no trinity doctrine. I know that I would loath going to a lutheran church if that was all that was available. I doubt if I'd go to church very much if I couldn't go to a pentecostal church. so just reverse that.
