CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Oh, okay. I get it.
Royalty was overthrown when major society took over. Once it was overthrown, it left everyone else to be themselves, perhaps with small communities or something. Maybe like... Jamestown in Pocahontas, except with no king overseas.... hehehe.

Since this is where OOC is, I had to fix my opening post, so to save the trouble of reading everything, mainly the bottom has the most pronounced change to it. Such as the fact that I couldn't think of a better word than "ditch" for naturally uneven ground... so I changed it to ferns. Ha ha... if anyone's ever seen the movie "First Knight" it's kinda like one of the scenes in the beginning.

There was royalty before the Mist destroyed the people, but AFTER the people were destroyed humanity became as E_B said, small communities left to themselves. Note that a hundred years isn't really a long time. So the Mist will be a story only three or four generations old.
I think LoH has "lady" confused with the modern sense of the word. A Lady, LoH, is the medieval title of a female of royal status. While this world is medieval in nature, there is no royalty left (think the Forest People in the Circle Trilogy
)
