Dove of Peace

Torture, cries, brokenness
That was how I broke
Alone in the world and ruined
No one to save me
I watched myself slip farther down a dark hole
with every punch
and ever snicker
I asked her to stop
to leave me be
and she hurt me worse.
Now that I have been freed
Her voice still haunts me
Her laughs still hurt my soul
But she is gone
and she wont come back
And I am with the Lord
Every day he comforts me
wipes my tears
holds me
He is the dove of peace
that came to soothe my soul
he bathes me
making me clean from the torture
He reminds me of the blood spilled
my blood
He reminds me of the laughter against me
but he also shows me that will never happen again
and I am with Him now
