You can find a description of Seventh-day Adventist fundamental beliefs here. I think the differences between many Adventists and other Christians will be apparent if you read that. Keep in mind that the 28 fundamentals are not supposed to be a creed and that not all Adventists agree with all of them. That's why we have separate Traditional and Progressive SDA subforums here.

Hi Scotsguy,
Probably the main difference is our observance of the Seventh-day Sabbath, hence "Seventh-day Adventist."
The "Adventist" part refers to our looking for, preparing for, and even hastening of, the Second Coming of Christ.
