What are the differences between Satanism and Luciferianism?
Cal
Lucifer is not in our Bible. You might take a look at this site concerning that "word".Satanists believe in the power of yourself; your deep, inner you. Not any god/goddesses, prophets or books.
Satanism has no connection with Christianity.
And as far as I know, Luciferianism is a form of Christianity, but... The other way around. Satan = good, God = bad. To put it out short that is.
Correct me if I'm wrong.![]()
Last time used in the NT/NC:Zechariah 3:2 And Jehovah saith unto the Adversary: `Jehovah doth push against thee, O Adversary/Satan, Yea, push against thee doth Jehovah, Who is fixing on Jerusalem, Is not this a brand delivered from fire?'
Revelation 20:7 And when the thousand years may be finished, the Adversary/Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

Isaiah 14:12, Job 38:7 & Revelation 22:16 Will The Real "morning star" Please Stand Up...
Satan simply means "Adversary".
To unbelievers, Christ is a type of adversary to them, but to Believers, He is the Savior. So it just depends on how he is viewed according to ones beliefs I think. Thoughts?
satan occurs 55 times in 49 verses:
satan (Strong's 07854) occurs 27 times in 23 verses:
Satanas (Strong's 4567) occurs 36 times in 33 verses:

There are 2 different words used in the NT, Devil and Satan and this is one of the more "infamous" passages in the NT/NC of our Bible. [I think Hitler used this one?]. All "symbolic" and it helps to know the OT/OC to see what Jesus was "signifying" when He said this.Well, I didn't choose the name for Satanism and Luciferianism, so you might have to take that with the ones who did.
Besides, "Pagan" originally meant "peasant" or "farmer", but I'm none of them, yet I'm a Pagan. =)
No, Jesus Christ is not an adversary to most non-Christians. Why would he be that? He's not to me, I think he was a wise man, if he ever existed.
Revelation 20:10 And the devil/dia-boloV <1228> , who deceived them, was cast/eblhqh <906> into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet [are.]John 8:44 `Ye are of a father--the devil/dia-bolou <1228>, and the desires of your father ye will to do; he was a man-slayer from the beginning, and in the truth he hath not stood, ........

The greek word for "devil" is actually a combination of 2 greek words..."dia" and "bollos" which means "cast". I am still learing the Biblical Greek.

1228. dia-bolos dee-ab'-ol-os from 1225; a traducer; specially, Satan (compare 7854):--false accuser, devil, slanderer. 1225. diaballo dee-ab-al'-lo from 1223 and 906; (figuratively) to traduce:--accuse. 906. ballo bal'-lo a primary verb; to throw (in various applications, more or less violent or intense):--arise, cast (out), X dung, lay, lie, pour, put (up), send, strike, throw (down), thrust. Compare 4496.
I know very well what Satan and Diablo means, but what I meant in my previous post was that you should ask the ones who named Satanism Satanism and Luciferianism Luciferianism, why they named them that. Since they obviously have nothing to do with their names.
But thanks for a closer information about Diablo.![]()

Don't know. Sorry.so where did the name Lucifer come from then?

Welcome.
I don't know how "they" look at the Bible, as I study it using the whole Bible all the way from Genesis to Revelation.
I am translating much of it, including revelation and am finding out how much of it is "poorly/loosely" translated.![]()
Thanks for your replies and peace and Love be with you and yours.

Gala 4:.....30 but what saith the Writing/Scriptures? `Be you casting out! [#1544 ekbale] the maid-servant and her son, for the son of the maid-servant may not be heir with the son of the free-woman;' [Genesis 21:10]
so where did the name Lucifer come from then?
Thanks and I wish the same for you and those you love. Thanks for the conversation and I enjoyed it.I've met one Luciferian who believed that Satan/Lucifer had created the world and people, but God came and took the world away from him and fooled the humans by brainwashing them with the bible. Or something like that.
Yes, the bible is very poorly translated, especially the ones translated from Latin to any other language.
I hope you'll get lots and lots of love and peace too.![]()
Then you would "enjoy" the Book of Revelation but it uses the WHOLE BIBLE so it helps to read through it first a few times and avoide fictional "endtime books/movies" for awhile. As far as I know, Lucifer isn't really a name of a person. It means "morning star", and that's what the planet Venus was (and still is on some places) called back when the bible was written.
I think it's written somewhere in the bible that "Lucifer" fell from the sky. That is, the morning star fell, and the sun rise = morning.
so where did the name Lucifer come from then?
lol i did not know that is what the word came from... spanish is interesting because sometimes when the musilms say something in arabic here i recognize a spanish word like it... or a latin word from a catholic sounds like a spanish word... i guess our language like us reflects that we come from many backgrounds![]()

If your ever interested in deep Bible study, PM me. I do recommend this site pretty highly as his views are pretty much how I view the Bible, though I may disagree on some things. He does a good job on Translations also.
His series on the Royal Priesthood and the Book of the Life of the Lamb are very good. Peace and Love to you and yours.
