Rom 8:10
10 If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.NASU

Is this a good death?

Joe
Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die,
but after this the judgment: KJV

We are all going to die once...but then, I don't exactly want to live a zillion years either! In this sense death doesn't seem like a bad thing. The thing I don't know about, and what gives me a bit of fear is 'judgment'!

Judgment is when God restores the temple of the body of Christ and moves the body from time which brings death, then waiting 2 days in the grave and then the 3rd day resurrection unto the life without morning and evenings through the power of a endless life that is in Jesus Christ. This life is also without human father or mother ties, without religious or societal affiliation. Jesus is all and in all. He hands the kingdom over to God the Father who is all in all, to whom the Son is then subject.

In this presentation the words,"2 days" and "3rd day" are symbolic of the things of the kingdom of God in Jesus Christ.

Somone correct me if I am wrong here but I don't think Ellen believed in the resurrection OF the body. Ellen believed that at the resurrection a new body would be created out of toally different matter and the only thing remaining of the person is the records of the persons deeds while 'in' the body.

Ellen taught that Christ "sloughed off" His body at the Resurrection. Because Christ was perfect in His earthly life ( Ellen did teach this ) a new body was re-created for Him thus He was resurrected as a type of spirit creature.

That sounds like a snake losing its skin. Paul did testify that he did not desire to be unclothed, but to be clothed upon.

I thank God that through the blood of Jesus the records of my deeds while in the body will be blotted out and burned.

It is interesting to see how Romans 8:10 is so closely tied to our hope in the resurrection.

Yes, it does sound like a snake and even more like an amphibian in that "what" starts out as a poliwog evolves into something greater ( a frog ). When I read that Ellen, at the General Conference announced that Jesus, at the Resurrection sloughed off His body it struck me like a left hook from Mike Tyson.

The last enemy to be destroyed is death. Death is swallowed in victory. Just like eating food. It is purified in the refuse.

That which was ordained to life I found to be unto death. Those things that were gain to me I count but loss, yes even fertilizer, that I might win Christ,

And be found in Him....

Our Lord Jesus said that he is the door to the sheepfold. He is a Lamb, as it were, slain in the middle of the throne of God; slain from the foundation of the world.

Death is the key/door to eternal life. Faith is being crucified with Christ. It is dying daily with him.

2 Cor 4:10-12
10 always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. 11 For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12 So death works in us, but life in you.
