We have boldness and access with confidence.
All because of Jesus.
Think of a child running to his father, jumping on his lap to tell him the latest thing that happened.
Bubbling with excitement, no thought of rejection by his Dad.
This child knows his Daddy loves him and looks forward to see him.

We can be like that when we understand the breadth, length, depth and height of the love of Christ for us that passes knowledge.

Like brown withering leave in the autumn, so is my soul waiting to be reborn. This world is dark and dreary and i fear not death, no i welcome it. Death is a doorway through which i escape the morbid decay of this world.

Then i considered the light of God and how it lights my path and warms my weary soul. I persevere. If anything i must persevere.

The sacrifices of God are a contrite heart and broken spirit.

Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore by the mercies of God that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy acceptable to the LORd. This is your reasonable acto f worship.
And be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. That you may what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Notice the 2 things we need to in these verses.
Become a living sacrifice.
Don't be conformed to the world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Some people do one or the other, but not both.
If you become a living sacrifice without renewing your mind you will fall for just about anything. I think this is how cults get started that have Christianuty in ihe roots. e.g. Mormonism, JW etc.

On the other hand if you renew your mind without becoming a living sacrifice, there will be no transformation.
You will have lots of head knowledge and it will do you no good.

But, if you do both, become a living sacrifice and renew your mind by God's Word you will be transformed and you will see God's perfect will for your life.

In my other thread about memorizing Scripture I added that singing Scripture is a great way to memorize.
I should have added this.
When you quote a verse from memory, you normally don't speak with emotion, but you can't sing without emotion.
Saying something with emotion is a better way to get a verse on your heart.

I used to talk with a guy about Luke 12:32 and when he quoted he did not just say the words, but he got really expressive with it. Waving his hand and speaking as if he was speaking to a flock.
that was 9-10 years ago and whenever I think of that verse I remember him doing that.
