Watching that video about "Run for your life" and remembering we are at war. I was reminded of what somebody had told me in a thread about who can baptize. He told me that "some believers are just called to sit in pews". Not all believers are called to do something for God, I was amazed.

Amen!!! That's TRUE!!!! Not EVERYONE is called to do certain things. It IS good to know that.

I love that message. It's been a HUGE blessing to me.

Just listened to this song which is very comforting to me. The way we are seen through Jesus Christ's eyes.

And this one touched me a lot a few days ago. It is also a nice way of thinking of how God sees us all.

In Matthew 4 Satan tempted Jesus with 3 different things. 1 John 2:15-17
Command these stones to be made into bread - the lust of the flesh.
Showed Him all the kingdoms of the world - the lust of the eyes.
Tried to get Him to tempt God - pride of life

But with Eve, he only needed one temptation to get her to display all three aspects.
She saw the fruit was good for food - lust of the flesh.
It was pleasant to they eyes - lust of the eyes.
Could make her wise (apart from God) - pride of life.

I believe every believer has a role to play. Just as in an army, there are no soldiers called to sit on the sidelines.
