I agree. Thank GOD He is our Refuge.

Praise GOD.

Amen.
Proverbs 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and are safe.
2 Samuel 22:3 The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

I LOVE to think of our God as a STRONG Tower, and our Rock and our Shield, and that HE is our REFUGE from violence.

LOL! C'mon, when the one on the right raised his arms and really got into the head-banging, you didn't almost fall off da chair in gales of laughter?

A real Elvis fan:
The one on the right was really getting into it.
The one on the left couldn't get far enough away. It almost fell off.

I am sitting in my recliner, kind of hard to fall out of it.

Proverbs 3:2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
Proverbs 3:16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.

Do you ever feel you just don't have enough time in the day to get done what you need to get done?
Knowing God's Wisdom will give you length of days.
Jut as Jesus always had enough time to to do what needed to be done.
In 3 1/2 years Jesus did so much that John supposed that even the world itself could not contain the books that could be written if everything Jesus did was written down.
Jesus was never in a rush, He always had time.

That's exactly what i was thinking as i read your post.

Jesus NEVER EVER rushed.

Realizing this has been very healing to me when i suffered from what i called "hurry sickness".

Love the verses. Thank you :)

I have heard it called "tyranny of the urgent".
A crisis on someone else's part does not make for an emergency on my part.,

So many times when people say they need something they need it yesterday and we need to hurry up.
But that was not Jesus' way.
When His friend Lazarus got sick, Jesus waited a couple days to go to him. Jesus showed up right on time even though nobody else thought so.

Yes, it's tyrannical.
