It was all downhill from there, though (excluding, of course, their live albums released right after "Wish").
ChrisWins said:I agree with ya just about 100%!!!!! I saw The Cure on tour once for Disintigration and their last U.S. performance for Wish but I haven't seen 'em since. Those shows were incredible!!!!!! Since then they've gone downhill but I don't hate their new studio stuff since Wish, i just don't like it as much. I'd play every CD up through Wish plus their live albums ten times each before I listen once to Wild Mood Swings.
I'm kind of surprised they're still going and I respect that. They're truly legendary.

I can't decide (then again, my opinion doesn't really matter in the long run). I mean, Their self-titled record was pretty decent (not great, but decent) and it sort of gave me hope that Robert Smith still had it in him. If he can keep cranking out stuff like that (or better) then I think they should keep it up, but if they are going to go back to "Wild Mood Swings" sort of stuff, I think they should hang it up. I'd rather see them go out on top then end up as washed up rock stars appearing on showboats and local amusement parks or something.I kinda think the opposite though......I believe it's time for them to hang it up.
