By "biological record" I assume you mean "fossil record"?

If so, you seem to have drawn a conclusion premised on at least these two assumptions:

1. Everything that ever lived becomes fossilized
2. We have discovered every fossil

Ahh the old incomplete fossil record argument.
The thing is, that by invoking this argument you admit that what is being presented as scientific fact is in fact devoid of supporting evidence.
According to many Scientists theories that are not testable are simply not science.
The test for the theory of common descent on the fossil record would be adequate fossil evidence to demonstrate the lineage.
After 160 years of banging on at the same theory such evidence is not available, by your own admission.
The validity of the theory as Science must therefore be brought into question.

Please provide evidence for these assumptions or stop making such silly claims about 'appearing abruptly' with no 'antecedent' ....

The complete absence of evidence caanot be shown as such because the set belonging to examples of antecedant to the feather, the pentadactyl limb, flowers, the enucleate blood cell etc etc is empty. All I can show you is an empty set which by the reckoning of Evolutionists should be easilly filled.

My almost 7 year old asked a question the other day and after explaining the answer to him I wondered how creationists would answer the question:

"Why do dolphin tails go side to side and shark tails go up and down?

Because they were designed different.
