Listen hard. Not one says he didn't do the acts for which he was convicted.
Instead, they say:
He shouldn't have been charged.
The crimes were committed too long ago (2016).
He has not been convicted of federal election fraud. Not yet!
They quibble about NY state law.
They say the trial should have been in Staten Island.

But not one says, "He never did those things."

And let's face it, those things were 110% immoral and unethical.

Here’s the “reasoning”
Trump didn’t get a fair shake from the justice system*, we know this because, if he had had a ‘fair trial’, they wouldn’t have found him guilty, therefore we reserve the right to be angry over this, until we can accept it.

This is a terrible blow for many people, it’s unbelievable to them that this has happened because they’re not “allowed” to think that Trump did anything’s wrong, so they don’t. Can’t, really.

I think you're all being far too harsh on poor Donald. Like any Christian he is capable of redemption, he just needs to see the error of his ways.

I believe the answer is Community Service where he can become familiar with the trials and tribulations of ordinary New Yorkers.

My recommendation is:
  • One year of Community service
  • In the New York subway system
  • Cleaning the latrines
  • With a toothbrush
(I would also confiscate all Mr Trump's hair products along with his orange complexion enhancer.)

A few things

1. He did nothing wrong according to the law. paying hush money is not against the law. Media outlets and politicians have been doing it for years.
2. He paid his lawyer and marked it as a payment for services.. Nothing wrong with that, Hillary Clinton did the exact same thing
3. What you see is dual justice system. They are charging Trump with anything and everything. Yet people on the left who have done the exact same thing, nothing happens to them
4. we also have the following fact
a. The judge should have recused himself. He paid millions to the Biden campaign, He had a conflict of interest
b. These charges, if any, should have been brought years ago. Anyone who thinks it is not suspicious that these charges were brought right in the middle of a campaign where your party leader is losing. is biased themselves.
c. The place where the charges were brought were in a place where most of the jurors would be anti trump. I am sure they thought they did a service to their country by voting the way they did in an attempt to stop their enemy.

I can go on and on and on with the many issues of this whole ordeal. and how dangerous it is for this country right now.

what we are seeing only happens in communist nations.. Which is where we are headed. socialism can not work unless you take your enemy down.. The people will nto stand for it..

whether what he did is wrong or not is beside the point.

Re:
A. Judge Merchan made a twenty dollar donation several years ago, and an ethics committee determined that as insignificant before the trial. Twenty bucks.
B. When a defendant has million dollar lawyers filing dozens of postponements, it's not so easy. In addition, when he was president and his scapegoat went to jail he claimed he was untouchable. The courts will iron that out this month, hopefully in a way that will protect our country from criminal leadership.
C. The venue was the location where the crimes were committed, the appropriate place for a trial. West Palm Beach, the venue for the classified documents trial, is 90% Republican.
Re: 1-3 Do you have a NY license to practice law? Neither do I, and neither do his Congressional sycophants talking on Fox News.

when they bring Hillary Clinton in for the same charges.

Come talk to me because she did the exact same thing..

A judge is supposed to be above reproach. If a conservative judge did this, the left would be all over it.

The same thing happened in Georgia with the fanny Willis nonsense.

Until then, This was a travesty of the nth degree, and is stuff you only see in dictatoriship nation.

Hillary's alleged infractions had to do with lost emails. I delete emails unread daily--and so do you.

There is a conservative judge in W. Palm Beach whose favoritism is so pronounced that she has seen her most hairbrained attempts at obstruction reversed by a higher court. Merchan made one twenty dollar donation.

The Georgia trial? There is a recording of Mr. Trump trying to get Raffensberger to "find" 12001 votes. Definite crime, solid proof. And I'm sure the solid proof is backed up by lots more.

Nope. She paid someone off. and put it in her ledger as legal expenses

But you did bring up a point. She has classified material on her personal email. Yet NOTHING happened. Same with Joe Biden, and having classified material in his house.

But trump did the same, and he is brought up on charges

Then she should be charged herself. 2 wrongs do not make a right.

lol.

whatever.

I think it has LONG been since proven that there was a stolen election.. Missing votes. Votes that went one way that where changed to go another way.

Any president has the right to make sure the election is on the level.

while we are at it.. Well Clinton did the same. and again, she gets off scott free.

I think it is obvious where your bias lays.

The "stolen election" has been disproven in 60 different investigations and recounts in every single disputed state.

Likewise, an ethics panel of NYC judges said Merchan's four year old twenty dollar donation was insignificant--and it is.

You are free to cling to your misinformation--and we are free to ignore you. Have a good day.

Here we go. Proof of the double tiered justice system.

Clinton did the same thing, and was only fined 8,000.00 While trump was convicted of felonies..

The bias is outragious, and everyone should be [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]ed. whether you think Trump is guilty or not. This is a sad day in our country

Washington CNN —

Federal election regulators fined Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee earlier this month for not properly disclosing the money they spent on controversial opposition research that led to the infamous Trump-Russia dossier.

The DNC was fined $105,000 and the Clinton campaign was fined $8,000, according to a letter sent by the Federal Election Commission to a conservative group that requested an inquiry.

FILE - President Donald Trump arrives at the White House in Washington, on Dec. 31, 2020. Mark Pomerantz, a prosecutor who had been leading a criminal investigation into Donald Trump before quitting last month, said in his resignation letter that he believes the former president is guilty of numerous felony violations and he disagreed with the Manhattan district attorney's decision not to seek an indictment. Political candidates and groups are required to publicly disclose their spending to the FEC, and they must explain the purpose of any specific expenditure more than $200. The FEC concluded that the Clinton campaign and DNC misreported the money that funded the dossier, masking it as “legal services” and “legal and compliance consulting” instead of opposition research.

The dossier was compiled by retired British spy Christopher Steele. It contained unverified and salacious allegations about Donald Trump, including claims that his campaign colluded with the Kremlin to win the 2016 election. Trump’s campaign had numerous contacts with Russian agents, and embraced Russian help, but no one was ever formally accused of conspiring with Russia.

The money trail behind the Steele dossier has been a subject of intense political scrutiny for years. More than $1 million flowed from the Clinton campaign and DNC to the law firm Perkins Coie, which then hired the opposition research company Fusion GPS. That company later hired Steele and asked him to use his overseas contacts to dig up dirt about Trump’s ties to Russia.

Steele has maintained that his research was unverified, required further investigation and was not meant for public disclosure. But his memos were leaked in January 2017, weeks before Trump took office. Over the years, a series of investigations and lawsuits have discredited many of Steele’s central allegations about collusion and exposed the unreliability of Steele’s sourcing.

In the letter announcing the fines, the FEC also revealed that it dismissed related complaints against Steele, Perkins Coie and Fusion GPS, which have all previously denied wrongdoing.

The Clinton campaign and the DNC never conceded that they violated campaign finance laws, but they agreed to drop their pushback and accept the civil fines, according to the FEC letter.

A DNC spokesman told CNN Wednesday that it has “settled aging and silly” FEC complaints about 2016.

A lawyer who represented the Clinton campaign in the FEC case didn’t answer CNN’s request for comment. Both entities previously said that they didn’t know the details of Steele’s work in real-time. They’ve also said the Trump campaign’s links to Russia posed a national security risk – which was the same conclusion reached by a bipartisan Senate probe in 2020.

I wonder where the complaining Republicans were when the judge sitting over the Steele dossier case, who had made a $1000 political donation to Trump, refused to recuse himself from that case?

Notice how the thread became about failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton instead of the convicted felon that is currently being positioned to be president for a second term.

What was he charged with? Last I heard. there was no specific charges.
#1 it was false (no such services were provided as outlined in the false invoices and false payments), so there is something wrong with that. #2 It was done to disguise the commission of a crime, which in New York makes it very wrong (i.e. a felony).
This is in error. It is not a crime to pay hush money. It is done by everyone, if this is a crime, then every politician would be going to court.
It was not to disguise a crime, so it is not the exact same thing; therefore, the consequences were different.
All it was was that trump or one of his representatives used a drop down menu and picked what the payment was for.

If this was really a crime, charges would have been brought years ago.. But it was not. it was a sham court proceeding. to keep your political opponent from being able to run proper;ly and try to keep him off the ballot.

Even CNN, the most left leaning news organization. admits there was nothing there

I distrust "video" or "audio" proof since a lady I know, a self-defined "Christian nationalist," told me the JFK, Jr. and Princess Diana are still alive and under protection, but that she heard them speak on Patriot Radio.

She also claims that Biden died in 2019.

According to a nurse practitioner (!) who examined another friend, the current Biden is a hologram.

The video and audio proof from conservative media have zero credibility.
